ER 2.0 -- When I was told they were the same actor, I was shocked

I don't follow Hollywood details closely, I just turn on the TV and enjoy it. When someone told me Dr. Robby and Dr. Carter are the same actor I was shocked. I still have to look hard to see it--Wyle has aged quite a bit.

I did some Googling and it told me that The Pitt was initially envisioned to be a continuance of Dr. Carter's career. But rights issues with the estate of ER creator Michael Crichton could not be worked out. (I suspect the estate regrets that now that The Pitt is huge)

An ER continuation would have been nice. There are several characters there that I'd be interested in seeing.

EDIT: Duh.. of course when you look at the side-by-side photo and are equipped with hindsight knowledge, it is obviously the same person. But for the unaware viewer watching either The Pitt or ER the first time, the Wyle linkage surprised many of us.

Context: I’ve been running for a little more than a year now with an average pace of 6 min/km. I’m trying to improve my pace and keep reading about improving/increasing my cadence. My usual cadence is about 90-120 spm which is far lower than the ideal (185+). Wondering if I can and should be focusing on improving/increasing my cadence. I’m 6 feet tall and understand that taller runners have slightly lower than average spm but seems like I’m getting worse. Help /advice is appreciated
