Hi there! My partner and I are planning a trip to Sicily for around 2 weeks - we are flying in and out of Palermo at this stage but that possibly could change depending on suggestions.

We are wanting to spent around 4 nights in Palermo, using it as a base to do a couple of day trips. Apart from that we are quite unsure.

We don’t want to try to do too much - does anyone any recommendations to what we should definitely do - after leaving Palermo we are intending on renting a car for around 6 nights.

The big international ones are super expensive. All the feedback I've seen is that the local ones are good if you purchase the comprehensive insurance plan?
