Customer rant

Tell me why but not once but twice I was asked where the frozen meatballs when we were in a area that had no freezers. I’m in the soda aisle and this guy asked where are the frozen meatballs. I legit looked at him like 😒 and told him in the freezer. Mind you, you have to walk by the freezer to get to the soda aisle. Then not even 5 minutes later a lady alts the same thing. Why why why do we have signs, why have we been blessed with technology only to encounter the stupidity of people.

Entitlement just became they’re pregnant

There’s this 20 year old first time mom that’s 4-5 months pregnant that doesn’t want to consider switching departments. She can’t bend down nor lift heavy things so the TL moved her from picking auto pick to small walks. She complained about that, then from small walks to GMD as a helper potentially the main person to do it. Then complains she’s left alone when there are no orders to pack. Expects those around her to stop what they’re doing immediately to pick up the bottom two totes or move “heavy” looking items. This department is so physical, that I refuse to make my job harder just to make hers easier. She doesn’t want to leave her older sister side. Just found out she’s high risk and still refuses to switch departments. Am I the asshole for refusing to help her? For some context I’m (F) 11 years older than her and I too plan to expand my family, I’m developing carpal tunnel in my left hand (already operated my right). I’ve been in opd for 1yr 1 month and she’s been there for 4 months.

Coworkers are just as irritating if not more than customers

We’re all in this together, we’ve gone through times dealing with customers that act oblivious when we come down the aisle, the hard maneuvering with heavy carts, and so on. So why the heck would u park ur car in the middle of the aisle or park it in a way that inconveniences other pickers. I’ve pushed both customers and pickers carts out of my way and made them chase their carts because of you’re going to inconvenience me, I’m going to inconvenience you by fetching your runaway cart. Another thing is knowing we have to bag as we pick, why not make sure you have enough bags for the walk. I’m not disaster relief. If I’m doing GMD or exceptions I really don’t care if you need to use my printer really quick because other pickers took the only printers we have in the back. 8 times out of 10 instead of using the printer right then and there, they take it with them. Nope not happening on my watch even if oversized is going to be late because who’s going to help me when orders or picks get backed up.

Ok rant over lol

Entitlement does not equal priority

Today I grab a few items for lunch, since I don’t keep cash or my debit card on me, I just use the scan and go. As I’m waiting in the fast lane at the self checkout, a spark driver shoved his phone in my face saying he’s a Spark driver. Already having a long day and looking forward to my lunch break, I held up my phone to show him my bar code and told him, “And?!?! U can wait like I did.” Maybe if he was nicer about it, I would have let him go.

Walmart associate and spark driver

Honest question why can’t I do both. I already know the store layout, I know the people in other departments that’ll prioritize my need since I’m already a picker. So why can’t I do spark after my 5-2 shift when I’m barely keeping a float. I can’t get another job due to conflicts with picking up my child from school. So that 1.5 hours I can do an order or two and even spark on my days off

Meta glasses

Does anyone else’s opd department have associates that don’t need glasses all of a sudden start wearing the meta glasses just to snitch on each other. So far in the morning shift, there are 3 people wearing them, one of which is a certified snitch.

Crash out over the intercom

So from my understanding of the situation is an associate was waiting for another associate to cover her so she can go to lunch. The other associate was taking a bit too long where the one that was waiting literally paged the help and was yelling saying she was hungry and needs to hurry up 😂 funniest part is that she said it in both English and Spanish.

Drama!!!!

Just wanting to talking about the unhinged things going on at work. Please feel free to share your stories, I’m interested in seeing what other stores got going on. My 19(M) TL is hooking up with a 37(F) associate that both work in the back room. Rumors of our coach (M) is hooking up with his (M) TL and was seen by an associate that conveniently got fired for “attendance”. (M) coworker won’t give any of the female associates the time of day because he’s married. Said females then started a rumor that the only female that he is friends with (whose husband works the front end and female knows about her husband) are having an affair. 3 female coworkers were super close until one got the position of ATC which doesn’t raise her pay but the power got to her. Now she’s being shunned by the other two, one of which is having the inappropriate relationship with the 19yo. They just ignore each other knowing that if one starts, all 3 will go down. So far that’s what I can remember, I’m sure there’s more.
