Starting Colestyramine slowly - what's the best way

I had a horrible reaction to colesevelam and had to stop after only four days. I only took one tablet per day as a starting dose, when the doc had actually prescribed four.

But I still want to beat BAM and am considering colestyramine.

I don't want to start with a whole 4g sachet because of what happened before. How best to take less than the full dose? Use some of the sachet and save the rest? Are opened sachets still ok to take the next day? Or should I pour the whole sachet into a glass of water and only drink half or a quarter and throw the rest away?

Has anyone started small and titrated up?

EDIT TO ADD:
I've been asked to detail my reaction. I thought it was a bit TMI, but here goes:

Started off with nausea and some bloating which gradually got worse. By day four I was up for an hour at night with gut pain, my body wanted to be sick and to release out the back end, but neither happened. I dry heaved a couple of times.

I stopped taking them at that point, but the effects lasted up to four days after. Constipation, painful bloating and nausea. Which eventually subsided. I took a couple of laxatives to move things along.

Cholestryramine without sugar or aspartame UK

I am keen to try a sequestrant to tackle my BAM. The doctor asked if I was willing to try Cholestryramine. I said I was, but I didn't want to take something with sugar or aspartame in it.

My understanding is this medication is only available with this junk in it. I want the medication, I do not want the junk. Over the past two years, I have improved my health considerably with a low carbohydrate diet and I've been working to come off artificial sweeteners (of which aspartame is one of the worst, affecting the gut microbiome).

The doctor just prescribed a "generic" version of Cholestryramine and told me to speak to the pharmacy about the other stuff. The pharmacy said they would email me, but it could take 24 hours. More than a day later and I've heard nothing.

Has anyone found a solution to this?

Blood tests next week. If I have high cholesterol, maybe I could persuade them to prescribe colesevelam. Just a bit anxious about the whole thing. I've struggled with food addiction in the past and keeping off the sugar and sweet stuff is keeping me sane.

RX Plugin within Audition - where are the options?

I'm finally setting up an effects stack for my dialogue in Adobe Audition. I want this to include the Izotope RX Mouth De-click plugin. I add the plugin via the Audition Plugin Manager, but I don't get any of the options appearing, or any of the presets in the dropdown menu. I simply have "custom".

Is there a way of using RX plugins properly within Audition, or will I have to close the audio in Audition and re-open in RX to do what I want to do in there, then re-open in Audition to continue?

I am using Izotope RX 7 on Mac silicon and Adobe Audition CC.

Pics below show 1) How the plugin appears in Audition 2) How it appears within RX.

RX Plugin in Adobe Audition - reduced functionality?

I'm finally setting up an effects stack for my dialogue in Adobe Audition. I want this to include RX Mouth De-click. I add the plugin via the Audition Plugin Manager, but I don't get any of the options appearing, or any of the presets in the dropdown menu. I simply have "custom".

Curv doesn't know where dock is - even when docked!

How can I tell the robot where the dock is? It charges fine, goes out to vacuum and then can't find the dock afterwards. If I ask it to mop, it leaves the dock to try to find the dock! It trundles along "positioning", can't find the dock and stops. I keep putting it back, but any attempt to clean merely repeats the process.

Will I have to give up and re-map? (and hope that solves it)

Background: I bought my Roborock Qrevo Curv S5X 29th June 2025. Problem started after moving the docking station away from the wall while the wall was being painted this week. I did some cleaning while it was in this temporary position, but the robot could never find its way back. I've now returned it to its original position – it still doesn't know where the dock is.

So, I've been eating L-Reuteri Yogurt for about two weeks. Due to a learning curve, it's only the third batch which has been properly successful and I've been eating that for less than a week.

But, this morning, the constipation was horrible. I haven't experienced anything like this since childhood. Two days ago, I felt something wasn't quite right and took Senna (mild laxative), and another yesterday, but that didn't help this morning's problem. I drink plenty of water.

I've also had two instances of waking up with sick in my mouth. The most recent was last night. Must be related.

Google says how wonderful L-R is at helping constipation. But I didn't have the problem before, and now I have. On the other hand, I haven't had a diarrhea episode since I started (the reason I started), so there's that.

Could be bad bacteria die-off, I suppose, but I'm going to have to stop at least for a while. I can't have another distressing morning like this morning.
