Wedding dress reveal

About three months ago I posted here asking for help with my wedding dress. I got such lovely feedback, tips and help and I promised to show you guys the result, so here it is!

We got married on the 8th of August and it was the perfect day 🤍 The dress turned out beautifully, and even though the chiffon sleeves didn't completely survive (as I had cut the overlocked edges when finishing the armhole) the tears just remind me of how many wonderful people we have around us to hug, and how much I danced.

The dress is based on the pattern "Colette" by Cos patterns. I modified it a lot, made the torso longer, the basque waist more dramatic, the skirt longer and changed the sleeves. I also added pearl boarders, to make it pop.

Thank you all so much for the help and the wonderful comments, it all really made a difference 🥹

what am i doing wrong?

I am making my wedding dress and have become completely blind to the top, which I have made and remade about a trillion times. I keep getting bulky princess seams and a flappy sweetheart, along with a scrunched-up and uncrispy "v". What am I doing wrong?

EDIT: Thank you so, so much for your wonderful advice, I will understitching, clipping closer to the seam allowance and trimming the seams in the lining a bit more. In this picture, it has some plastic boning, but I am waiting for the steel boning to arrive in the mail, which might change it even more.

Lastly, thank you for all the sweet words of encouragement, they mean a lot to me in this stage of "why the hell did I choose to make my own dress" of it all. 🤗
