Help testing a "VFD" transformer.

Help testing a "VFD" transformer.

The image is a poorly drawn vector diagram of a transformer I have to perform the following tests on:

  1. Power Factor + excitation

  2. TTR

  3. Winding Resistance

  4. Polarization Index

I had to draw the diagram because the nameplate has a mirrored background, and you can't get a good picture of it.

The transformer has 3 primary bushings (H1, H2, H3) and 18 secondary bushings, as you can see in the picture. The primary is delta, the secondary is both delta and wye.

More Nameplate info:

MFG: Eltas

KNAN

HV: 13.2 kV / 852.9 A

LV: 6 x 1930 V / 6 x 972.3 A

"Rated power for HV": 19500 kVA

"Rated power for LV": 6 x 3260 kVA

HV INS. LEVEL: 17/110/34 kV

LV INS. LEVEL: 6.9/75/19 kV

Impedance 8.94%

60 Hz

FR3

CU/CU

I am having a lot of trouble coming up with a way to test this transformer, and my coworkers and I are debating on what to do. Any help our suggestions would be very much appreciated.

How much current is being pulled through Clark Griswold's meter in Christmas Vacation (1989)?

Christmas Lights scene: https://youtu.be/iXaw70X7wb4?si=To95eY5KoTKSltmJ.

I was talking with a friend about this scene and was curious about how much current would cause the meter to spin that fast.

Due to the speed, let's assume the current pulled by the rest of the house is negligible. It also appears that the entire light system is on one 120 volt branch circuit.

Obviously, multiple OCPDs would pop before allowing this much current to flow, not to mention the cables feeding this load would fault. And I assume a meter spinning that fast would have current flowing far beyond its rating. I know it's unrealistic, but was just curious.

Antique motor oiler question.

I have this antique motor that has an oiler for the bearings as you can see in the pictures. How should I go about cleaning the oiler and what kind of oil should I use to lubricate the bearings? And how much oil should I add?

The Langoliers (1995)

Here are three pictures from what I consider to be one of the best movies centered around liminal spaces. The acting and writing is a bit corny, but it adds to the charm and unintentional comedy. The atmosphere is unsettling in that particular liminal way up until the end where the Langoliers show up. I highly recommend checking it out.

If you've seen the movie, would you agree with my take? What other liminal space movies would you recommend?
