Mexican Military

My grandfather was a Capt in the Mexican army under Col. Cantu around 1916/1917 in Mexicali. I wrote to the defense ministry and was sent a form to fill out. It was rejected because they only send records to the individual involved. Unfortunately, grandfather has been dead for many years before I was even born.

Not sure what to do next. I have found several records after he immigrated to New York, but nothing from Mexico.

His name was Leonardo Durand (some records show Duran) born around 1893. Mom thought he was born in or around Mexico City. No maternal last, no marriage records, at least two siblings Ygnacia and Alberto.

Any ideas or help is appreciated.

Is it worth it?

One of the problems I claimed was hearing loss. After the C&P, it was denied even though they said that "it is more than likely" due to my MOS as a Fire control crew member in ADA. In talking with my VSO, he and the others at his office said that it is nearly impossible to prove connectivity to active service. As it was explained, because there was so much time between my time of service and today (40+ years), and since my service record had no medical records to show hearing loss, it would never be approved. After the Army, I had a career in HR, so hardly a noisy environment.

I am rated with Tinitus, but thats it. Is it worth pursuing or is just a waste of time? FYI - already have a nexus letter and C&P confirmed that I have hearing loss but not the cause of it. (Maybe the hearing aids gave it away?) Anyone had any success with this type of claim?

67, 5'8" 170 lbs — Recently out, looking for younger rl connection

67, 5'8" 170 lbs — Recently out, half Irish/half Mexican, Christian.

Lost 130+ lbs through low-carb & running — feeling great and staying active. Big cuddler (touch is my love language).

Especially drawn to slender/twinky guys 18–35 with blonde hair. Open to others if the chemistry and conversation are good. Looks are secondary to personality. Be easy-going and mature.

Looking for someone to hang out with — disc golf, running, hiking, movies, or exploring new places together. I’m caring, stable, and affectionate, soft-dom at times. Enjoy taking things slow and building real connection. Open to affectionate physical intimacy when the chemistry feels right.

Genuine guys, message me if you’re open to meeting in RL. Currently in south central MO but hope to move to the PHX area next year. I will ask for a couple face pics early on to prove you are not fake. Let’s see if we click.

Venting about a denial

Working with my VSO for nearly three years, I submitted everything asked for, went out and found old friends to write buddy statements, even a German national. In the end, it feels like a catch-22. During the service, we were told man up and avoid sick call unless we were dying (late 70s). Now, after reviews and a higher level review, I was denied because my claim was not credible for not having any sick call related files. Frustrating, what was the purpose of getting nexus letters, buddy statements and all the medical files if all these opinions and statements are not credible? Ok, done venting, lol.
