I don’t think Akanksha is going to go long in the business with her current attitude

I used to live overseas and managed social media for MAFS, the biggest reality show. We obviously met contestants and quickly learned which personalities had longevity.

Mainly speaking about the three main ones

Ruru has an actual skill. She is a DJ and into cosplay, so even if reality TV does not work out, she has options. She has already played at a top 50 club in the world and will likely get opportunities in Europe, especially Ibiza in the next 5 years if she continues as she is. She is friendly, physically fit, articulate and can stand her ground, which is important for reality TV. Even when she was angry in Splits, she did not completely lose it. She’ll be good for Traitors and Alliance too.

Yogesh has potential too, despite the mistakes he has made. He is physically fit, has some talent and personality, and could eventually get KKK if he gets serious about his work. He could also become a gang leader on Roadies, do something like Alliance or 50, or get onto dance reality shows in few years time if he plays his cards right. He needs to stay away from his cheap friends and stop indulging in petty fights. He was good at tasks in all 3 shows and in LockUpp he called out Akanksha’s behavior, calmed down fights. He needs to build on that and not be baited by the audience.

I cannot say the same for Akanksha. She does not currently have a marketable skill. She is not a dancer, singer, DJ, or particularly athletic. Even her choice of MVs is average. She also struggles to articulate herself, whether in the Splits finale when Karan repeatedly cut her off or in LockUpp when Yogesh had to jump in to defend her. And her behavior, superiority attitude and anger issues.
She has her one-liner but she should capitalise on that. Reach out to some brand and get that on a Tshirt, lean more into fashion which was her strong point in Splits. Recreate those moments and make reels. Random hand movements and playing the same song in clubs can only get you so far. She needs acting training, therapy and to stop going on podcasts to control the narrative. She can probably get BB eventually, but with her current behavior, she’s not looking positive. Right now, what neutrals mainly remember from LockUpp is her love angle and her actions towards Shreya.

End of my Ted talk lol

Akanksha has the worst fandom

let me start by saying i liked Akanksha in Splitsvilla. she’s pretty, had a good dressing sense, she’s fiery, liked her one liners and when she said usko kaudi ki sympathy nahi chahie after Yogesh chose Ruru and he was going to eliminate a girl so there is a guy for her to go ahead with. i was like woohoo, go girl!

and then her crazy delusional fans entered the chat and removed her from reality it seems. they are the reason Yogesh was suicidal because of the hate they were giving him. it wasn’t Rurus fans or anyone else’s. he had a cult following in roadies and virtually no one hated him except some people who said he cursed a lot and was arrogant. I agree what he did to Ruru is completely wrong, absolutely shitty behavior to emotionally cheat but the hate he was getting from Akanksha’s fans is the reason he is/was having mental health issues.
Akanksha has turned her fans into attack dogs at her command, she’ll unleash them on someone she doesn’t like.

Ruru's manager passed away and Yogesh knew him so he called her to console and express his condolences. how have Akanksha’s fans turned this around, saying shit about Yogesh and are panicking all over the place? That is called being a human being. And blaming Ruru for picking up a call, like what? Akanksha did the same thing when Yogesh was in a shit phase and she’s lauded for caring. so if he cares it’s wrong?

I think the fact that even once Akanksha hasn’t put up a story or a post saying don’t spread hate, let everyone move on says a lot about her character and not she’s encouraging her fans behavior. this applies to Yogesh, Ruru, Kaira, Shreya, Asmita, Suzzane, etc. Rebel was right.

I always thought the hate Akanksha got is extreme but looking at it now after LockUpp, it all makes sense why neutral audience prefers Yogesh over her. he definitely has more sense and humanity than her.

Let’s guess who we think the winner could be

No spoilers obviously but now that the cast is announced, who do we think could be the new winner? and also if they’ll be a traitor or an innocent?

Suzzane’s reality

Suzzane got fame after she accused Shivprizz for cheating on her when they weren’t even in a relationship and casually dating. She also accused him of domestic violence when that never happened and he said he has proof that when confronted about it she confessed to lying.

She got Splitsvilla because of that controvery. Atleast Akanksha got LockUpp based on her own controvery and no one else. Suzzane is on Netflix because of Akanksha.

After Splitsvilla she was friends with Akanksha and felt ignored by her. So she created this big mess wherein Akanksha gets slut shamed everyday from the likes of Shreya who say kitne ladkon ke saath soti hai and all that based on no proof.
But before all this, she was hellbent on getting followers saying reunion karva dungi if I get 100k or whatever. In so many Instagram lives she has said that she’ll reunite them like she reunited Yogesh and Rohit.

And whatever lies she’s saying that I came to sort it with Akanksha and support her but her first sentence was negative when they met. And she didn’t even support her in the task so that was a lie.

All she’s trying to do is get close to Shreya Karla and her group and trying to suck up to her saying I support Shreya.

Shreya is so cunning and Rebel flipped the script

Shreya found out from Rebel that she looks like a bully outside.

She found out from Yogesh that she is getting hate outside.

She herself told Akanksha to reveal her secret and she didn’t reveal Chamolas secret to gain sympathy and to look good which Rebel confirmed. And then she pretended that she didn’t tell Akanksha to reveal it and cursed her. So manipulative!!

Also if the secret was so personal that you didn’t want it to be revealed then why tf would you give it to the makers? How is this Akanksha’s fault that it got revealed? As Shreya always says that this is a game.

But this gameplay won’t be exposed by the hosts like they did when Yogesh and Laila planned something.

Rebel when she came in said that Shreya looks like a bully, fought with her, revealed all the disgusting things Shreya said about Shivangi and other people. She said she wanted to meet Yogesh and he was nice for defending Akanksha.

As she is leaving, Shreya is the TRP and Yogesh is using Akanksha. She barely spent a day with him, where is this coming from? Clearly following a script lol

Why people hate Shreya Karla?

Shreya fans, please support her and stand by every statement she makes.
Personal remarks queen—first with Chaudhary, then with Chamola, and now with Shivangi. She probably won’t even spare Shilpa if Shilpa says or does anything against her.

Seeking opinions about the reservation debate and marriage

After the CJP protest, the next debate is removing reservation and intercaste marriages.

I have been in the arranged market for 1 year now and 6 months has been serious and I’m currently speaking to a nice man. Wr haven’t even met yet but so far so good.

I have spoken to people from many different castes as it’s not a criteria for me or my family but I’ve noticed some very obvious differences in terms of education, language, lifestyle, parental involvement, celebration of festivals, childhood stories, relatives and so many more. I am not saying I want someone who’s upbringing is exactly like mine but when I put down my non negotiable, the only guys or their parents on the same page as me and my family are the guys in my caste.

So my question - is same caste preference in arranged marriage about prejudice or about compatibility as we are the product of our parents, family and environment? and also is there a meaningful difference between the two in this case?

Rebel’s argument with Akanksha

What can Akanksha do? She met Laila on the show. She’s not his keeper that she’ll tell him to do something and he will. If he is disrespectful to women then sort it out with him, Rebel.

This is my issue with the whole blaming the woman thing. Harshad is overprotective of Shivangi but it’s her fault. Laila’s fans say shit and Akanksha should advise Laila to respect women. Like what? It’s always these women who say ‘I’m a girls girl’ end up blaming the women for what the men do. The real ones show via their actions.

And if you care so much about respect of women then maa bhen ki gaali dena band karo because that is what you preach to your audience. Amd if she thinks her audience is not 13-25 year olds just like Akanksha, she’s more deluded than anyone.

Lockupp is about to pull some nasty shit

Read at your own risk. Major spoilers

>!As you know everyone’s family and friends are coming to see them in LockUpp so instead of a friend of Akanksha’s or family member, they are bringing Suzzane to the show as Akanksha's “friend”. And there will be drama.!<

How fucked up is that?

>!Also Akanksha is eliminate after this week. She’s not in top 5. She’s being eliminated before Chamola, Pam and other non deserving player.!<

I saw a post on another sub that the makers are brining Yogesh to get revenge for him bitching in a blog that his exit wasn’t fair and I think it’s true

Just saw Yogesh’s story and I think he’s out of LockUpp again. Doesnt seem like something a manager or friend would post.

I think they got him for a week and have eliminated him again

The best 2 episodes for me. Well done Rebel

I’m glad she’s here. A much needed surprise.

She brought Harshad out of his shell, showed who Shreya is to everyone, exposed Shilpa too, defended Yogesh and Akanksha, told that Laila story about them making Sufi dance, sort of patched up with Sufi, exposed Ram for being manipulative, said that Pam and Chamola are faking their friendship and lesbianism, finished all their money, staged a coup and stole beds hahah.

A great watch! And I got personal satisfaction that Shreya and Shilpas comments about Shivangi were exposed to everyone and everyone bashed them. well deserved

The most boring and predictable reality TV show ever

Finished today’s episode in 12 mins and I am sure I didnt miss anything importan.

Why is Dheeraj not punished? this is the 2nd time outside communication has reached him. He should minimum be made unsafe this week.

All we saw is them eating 3 times a day, a cute sleepover and a very boring task. If you have a team of more male members in a physical task, it’s obvious they will win.

They removed Yogesh for this 😂😂

Ill tell you how the eliminations will happen -

ITV star this week so they can prove we’re not “biased”. Maybe Chamola because maybe they have exhausted her good secrets now.

Akanksha next week because theyll say she has no storyline, you look lost.

Laila and Pam after that

Then another ITV star + Shreya

And then finals where Shivangi will win

I literally skip over Harshad, Shivangi parts. Can you imagine how boring the show is that I’m liking Shilpa now?

Alliance is so good. I started watching from this weekend. Kunal is such a good host, no bias, v straightforward, listens to everyone equally. Great job! And the tasks are fun too, more strategic. Lockupp looks like Ekta’s serials, melodrama, khana banana, and bahu drama

Is this how Farah and Ritesh are scolding Shilpa?

THIS IS THE MOST BIASED HOSTING I HAVE EVER SEEN!! Shilpa speaking about a woman‘s virginity, purity, her exs, relationships, making personal remarks about her face and all she gets is ‘you won’t like it if other people bring outside matter’ and ‘aurat aurat ki dushman hoti hai’.

This is beyond pathetic. These two hosts have said so many worse things to Yogesh for feeling sad and being upset after his friend has gone out of the game show but literally 3 lines to Shilpa.

I felt so bad looking at Yogesh today, he seems really sad and demotivate. First time I agree with Shreya that Dheeraj, Shivangi and Harshad are tourists and then to save Shivangi is beyond stupidity. If this is her content (constantly crying over nothing) then we’ll see how many people wah this show now

Anyway if spoilers are to be believed then this is my last episode. See yall in the alliance sub hahah.

I am not supporting anyone but what’s happening with Akanksha is wrong

Shreya doing this drama, aww poor Akanksha will sleep amongst the mosquitoes. I do not believe her.
Shreya can slut shame, talk about family, curse, deny meals (as Akanksha said today), bring out false statements from outside, push false narratives and when Akanksha reacts then it’s a problem. Actually I do agree that she overreacted.

There is a word for this in psychology (I have studied it) and it’s called reactive abuse. You push a person so much that they lash out. Shreya has constantly and multiple times made derogatory statements. Narcissist do this a lot. That is exactly what Shreya doing.

Waiting for tomorrow’s episode

Because of Harshad, most fights are getting resolved quickly. Him and his doormat personality-less bff are doing serial acting on a reality show. Same with Ram.

Now that Shilpa is here and creating chaos, it’ll be fun to see the fights and argument. And I feel like if Yogesh and Akanksha apne pe aa gaye toh the drama that’ll happen. U la la!

Also, I agree that if everyone has been invited on the show they are all at the same or atleast similar levels. Doesn’t matter if someone is senior or junior. Sabki equally bajni chahie

Don’t support people who hated Akanksha before

We need to learn a lesson from what happened with Suzzane and not support someone now just because they said 1 nice thing about Akanksha.

for months, they spoke bad about her in the press and podcasts, did PR against her. Don’t be fools and know that all these people are just using her name to get followers and support. They don’t care about anything else.

So, definitely don’t support anyone who not only wasn’t with her in her bad time but also caused her bad time.

29F - Are my expectations too unrealistic?

I’m 29F from Pune. I have lived in the UK for 4 years, been back for 3. I’ve been searching for a guy through arranged marriage for 2 years (seriously for the last 1) and haven’t found a single guy who matches what I’d call basic expectations. I’ve already dropped looks and finances from my checklist.

One thing is killing my search, in-laws. Firstly, it’s the not wanting to live with in-laws after marriage. So a lot of guys get filtered out. And then there are some guys who are fine with living separately FOR NOW and will eventually move back with the family. What is it with this “eventually” clause?

Why are these guys so obsessed with their parents. I get that everyone’s parents have sacrificed for them. My mom sold some gold to fund my master’s degree. But my parents have always been clear that my brother and I are not their retirement plan and we should live our lives freely without pressure. This is the same with all my female friends families too.

I’m not suggesting anyone abandon their parents but I genuinely believe that once you’re married, your partner becomes your number one priority. That’s it.

I haven’t met a single guy who agrees with this.

So my questions are:

  • Is this mindset actually uncommon? My grandma says I’m too westernised lol
  • For those who found a like-minded partner, how did you navigate this in your search? Or did you compromise?
  • Dating apps in Pune are a joke so arranged marriage feels like my only option. Should I just give up and become a stay at home daughter ?

Update after reading 400+ comments- Clearly some of y’all can’t read. I have explicitly mentioned that no one should abandon their parents. just because I have a brother doesn’t mean I will not take care of mine when the time comes no matter where I am. But I am not expecting my future husband to move in with my family. I can drive them to appointment, I can hire nurses, I can ensure they eat good food and take their medicines on time, etc. and I will do this for my future husbands parents too. We dont need to be in the same house for me to care for someone.

also, what some of you dumbass forget is that a lot of in-laws have their own rules and expectations about how things should be. They rarely treat daughter in laws the way they treat their sons or daughter. So many of them have so many unnecessary opinion, questions and not respectful of a couples boundaries especially an arranged marriage one where you are trying to figure yourself out With your husband or wife.

Now pls go to be patriarchal, misogynist somewhere else.
