3rd Pregnancy, 23 weeks, and I’m big, like really big

I’m not a big person, before I got pregnant I was 126 (height 5’6). I’ve gained roughly 30 pounds at 23 weeks, which is a over the recommended US graph, and I know that’s okay and not too big a deal. I’m trying not to focus on the weight.

The thing is, I’m worried about is how challenging things are ALREADY getting …. so early!!

It’s hard to bend down, get off the couch/bed, move around the kitchen, hand my kid snacks in the car, put underwear/pants/shoes on, sit in forward positions. I don’t remember things being this challenging this early on!

And like I said, I know subsequent pregnancies get bigger each time because our muscles, joints, ligaments are already conditioned for pregnancy, but THIS IS JUST EXTREME! WTF BODY!

N. California. First Spring with this colony. Just two deep supers separated by queen excluder.

Last week I added a couple capped frames to the top deep to encourage bee activity. I tried make sure the queen wasn’t on them because I just wanted the bees to store honey in the top. But I realized I might’ve put some brood in the top too. When the brood emerges will the workers begin filling the entire frame with honey? Some of the frames have plastic foundations with a coat of local wax and some is just natural comb.

Little entrance cluster at night

Location: Sonoma County, Ca.
Temp to was >90° today
New beekeeper, got the colony in April, it’s early June now. Two deep boxes on hive.

My bees are forming a small cluster at the entrance of their hive tonight. They were gently humming. It was kind of cute. They looked calm. Is this normal?

Baby boy: Rainier (I love it!)

My husband is from Washington State, we are very outdoorsy and hiked around Mt Rainier. My older son (5) is named Rex and he loves volcanoes (Mt Rainier is a volcano). What do you guys think? I know it’s the name of a beer brand too, I’m willing to disregard that.

Female divers: how many of you went spearfishing in cold water while pregnant?

Previously, I’ve spearfished several times during both my pregnancies in Northern California. Now I’m pregnant again with my third, I’m healthy, I wear a shark shield, and I plan on staying shallow. My dive buddy will keep a very close eye on me (my husband). I’m just a little nervous about my nausea!! Just looking for other women/mothers in our small spearfishing community to talk to and connect with!

Third pregnancy. I’m 18 weeks. Healthy BMI before pregnancy. Already gained 17 pounds.

This is my third baby!
My other two babies I had my late 30s, so not too long ago! My Pregnancy is healthy so far and I’m happy and thankful, but I am growing in size and weight super fast!

My last baby was 9.5 pounds, and I don’t want that to happen again.

My starting weight was 126 lb (58 kilos)
Height 5”6 (167.5 cm)

My 16 week appointment I was measuring above average and weight, which is OK I’m not freaking out but anybody else in the same boat?

The happiest bearded dragon! And no, she cannot catch any bees, but she sure does love watching them in the hot, midday sun!
