Delete IG, keep tiktok + reddit?

Hey everyone I've really been struggling to cut down on social media. I find it much easier to delete IG because it genuinely adds no value to my existence except quenching FOMO. But I honestly think tiktok and reddit both contain really useful information, especially if the algorithm is geared towards your interests/hobbies/advice/curiosities, etc so I'm on the fence about deleting those. But even though I find more value in the latter two, they often consume so much of my time because I endlessly scroll until I find more and more "valuable" posts. What is your opinion on deleting IG for good, and keeping tiktok and reddit but only using those in a dedicated and purposefull period (for example 2 hours on Sundays)?

Hylovision Lipocure for MGD

Has anyone tried this eye drop and did it work? It's preservative free, with hyaluronic acid, taurine and lipid support for MGD. I've used it twice daily for about a week but only see minor improvements, my eyes still feel dry and look red.

Apartment Living Is Turning Me Into A Villain

I live in a small apartment with four other guys, each of them as repulsive as the next. They're in their late 20s/late 30s. I am the youngest in the apartment but these fully grown men behave like children that expect all of their messes to be cleaned up after them. I feel sorry for the parents that "raised" them and for their future spouses. Apart from their lack of cleanliness and common sense, they are the most inconsiderate buffoons to scour the earth.

Below I will list some of their lovely behaviours:

- pissing on the toilet seat and floor (bathroom constantly smells like piss)

- leaving dirty dishes to sit for weeks in the kitchen

- no consideration for other people's sleep: watching TV on full volume, moving furniture, loud phone calls, slamming doors in the middle of the night (bear in mind I've asked them (particularly two of them) kindly multiple times to be a bit softer during sleep hours

- breaking dishes, crockery, doors, chairs, glasses and just leaving it lying around

- never emptying the bins (if I don't empty them, the rubbish piles up all around the bins for weeks)

- leaving the bathroom in a wet, swamp-like condition after showering (they don't dry themselves before exiting the shower and don't use a mat)

- turning the shower on for 10 minutes before getting in to let it warm up (it warms up almost instantly)

- heaters on the highest setting even when they aren't home (multiple complaints by landlord + just wasteful + increased rent because of it)

- stealing food that doesn't belong to them

- walking through the apartment with muddy shoes

- turning all the common area lights on in the middle of the night and leaving them on

- having the nerve to complain about the dirty apartment when they made the mess/trying to shift the blame and make others look guilty

I've done as much as I can to counteract these issues so they don't bother me as much (keep my own cutlery and crockery in my room, use ear plugs and sleep mask at night, tidy up after myself, practice acceptance and patience, etc) but these guys are just so inconsiderate and it's affecting my mental health to have to live in this environment. The main issue is that my sleep is constantly disrupted due to the fact that they are all night owls and one of them in particular comes home drunk every morning at 3/4am and speaking to himself and on the phone and watching things at full volume. I have addressed these issues with them but they don't care. Am I really the odd one out for wanting to live in a clean and peaceful environment?

I'm moving out of here as soon as possible but I'd like to know how other people deal with flatmates like this?

What's the vibe with petting stranger's dogs? 🐕

Is it generally acceptable to ask if I can pet a stranger's dog in a public space? I come across so many adorable dogs everyday and oftentimes I feel like dogowners pull them away from people rapidly (probably out of consideration for people who don't want to interact with the dogs) but it may also be because they don't want strangers touching their dog or hygiene reasons?

(Back in my home country it was pretty normal for dogs to run up to people and be petted without asking the owner.)

Edit: Thanks to all your encouraging feedback, I pet a dog in the park this evening and had a wholesome interaction with the owner. 10 out of 10 would recommend haha

Italy: Palermo vs Amalfi Coast vs Puglia

Ciao a tutti. I'm travelling to Southern Italy with a few friends from early to late August. Spending a few days in Rome and a few in Naples, but for the next stop we can't decide on Palermo, Amalfi Coast, or Puglia. I've heard that Palermo is a great base and that it's a good place to experience local culture, nightlife as well as lots of pretty beaches surrounding it. I've heard similar things about Puglia except that the nightlife and "picturesque" aesthetic is a bit dampened. Is Amalfi worth it? It would be great to see because it's so close to Naples but I've heard so many negative comments about how expensive and crowded it is. Bear in mind: we are on a tight budget and in our mid 20s.
