AC70 Solar Input Questions

I've got an AC70, and I'm looking for some cheaper solar panels than the Bluetti ones, with the main objective being I can leave it outside in the weather whilst camping. It can be a total pain to have to bring the panel in when the weather turns bad.

The Bluetti PV200 folding panel has conflicting information both on their website, and in the user manual. The page on the website says IP65, and the actual datasheet for the panel says IP67. But what both say is to NOT leave the thing in poor weather. Being as it's got cloth in the construction, I don't imagine it would enjoy sitting in a downpoor.

The solar input specs on the AC70 say 10A max. Everything I read says the Short Circuit Current should not exceed this. However, the PV200 itself is rated at 10.8A. More confusing is the PV350 which is rated at 11.4A, but Bluetti themselves sell it bundled with the AC70.

So what is the actual limit? If I find myself a panel that is rated at 11.7A, is that going to be an issue?

Or am I looking at this completely wrong, and should be looking at Current at Max Power instead of Short Circuit Current?

Thanks.

Router Suggestions For Leaptel FTTC, And A Little Advice Please

Can anyone suggest a decent, not-too-expensive router for FTTC on Leaptel?

I don't need top of the line. I only have a couple of PCs and occasionally a tablet. No gaming. Not even much streaming, only youtube.

To be honest, The whole 'router plugged into the white NBN box' has me a little stumped. I've been using FTTB for the last 7 years, and ADSL before that.

How does one go about setting their preferred DNS servers when only using a router? Is that something you do in the PC's OS? Or does a sufficiently decent router have this capability?

Thanks.

FTTC Questions For An NBN NOOB.

I'm about to move home for the first time in 7 years. My current place has FTTB, and I just connect a regular modem/router to the socket in the wall like the old DSL days. The place I lived in before this was still on DSL.

The new place is an older building and only has FTTC. It has a phone line type socket in the wall, and in the kitchen (not currently connected to anything) there are two of the white NBN NCD boxes like the one linked below, as well as one of the black NTD boxes in the same link.

https://www.nbnco.com.au/blog/the-nbn-project/play-your-part-so-its-easy-for-everyone-to-connect

Is one of these essentially the modem, and what ever other gateway I connect to it just acting as a router?

Are the DNS settings and stuff like that in the firmware for this white box, or are those still handled by my gateway?

What would I do if I want to use DNS settings other than what the ISP want to provide?

Can you access the settings of these connection boxes at all?

One of the white ones seems to have a power cable and phone cable with it, while the black one doesn't have anything.

I know this may seem odd, but I've never had to deal with this type of thing before. Thanks.

Looking For A Van Body

Does anyone know of a good looking van body? I'd love to use a Tamiya Lunchbox body, but it's way too small for a Tekno MT48 2.0.

The wheelbase needs to be about 320mm or so.

The van bodies that Proline make all look like ass.

The alternative is a Beetle body, and the Proline Baja ones seem to fit (seen a pic on the Tekno website with one).

Thanks.

Tekno MT48 2.0 vs Traxxas Maxx ?

What would be the general opinion on which to buy for general bashing duties?

The Tekno is going to be a bit more expensive, but a whole lot more tuneable (and I like to tinker). But the Traxxas is known to be extremely tough.

And when you get right down to it, I'm not racing, just having fun.

I've already got a Traxxas 1/16 Revo (it was a Slash when I bought it a decade ago, that's how much I like to tinker). It's a fun car, but there's not much of the original left. It's got RPM arms all round, GPM knuckles, tie rods and pushrods, rockers, shock mounts, braces. Hot Racing shocks. Machined diffs. Integy lower brace. T-Bone bumpers... Blah blah blah. It's an awesome little car, but I'd like something bigger without goiing all out on an X-Maxx.

So, Traxxas Maxx, or Tekno MT48 2.0?
