WWF Ultimate Divas Collection

I have managed to finally collect all the divas from
WWF The Ultimate Diva Collection 2001. Which I am extremely happy about, I also have the whole set of the Femme Fatale collection which is a personal favourite of mine.

Anyways, I wanted to show my attitude era women’s collection sets ❤️ has anyone else collected these sets?

Attitude Era stages

These 2 stages will forever be iconic despite lasting for only 2 years because the WWE peaked in those 2 years.

Women who signed with WWF in 1999

Did you know that WWF had been looking to sign more women to join their women’s division in 1999, here are the women that they did sign to contracts during 1999, some of them would go on to make their debuts later and find success others wouldn’t have been successful.

But imagine had they all been part of the women’s division cycle in 1999 during the sable era, how would wwf have presented each of these women had they appeared then.

Malia Hosaka (Aphrodisia) signed a developmental deal with WWF in 1999.

Amy Dumas (Lita) signed her developmental contract with WWF in August 1, 1999.

Trish Stratus signed her contract with WWF in on November 24, 1999.

Caryn Mower (Muffy) signed her developmental contract for WWF in August 31, 1999.

Cynthia Lynch (Bobcat) signed her official developmental WWF contract in July of 1999.

Later, Bobcat actually went a debuted in 1999 as a member of one of godfathers hos, she debuted for the WWF in October 1999, where she was attached by viscera, she continued to make appearances well into 2000, she was also the first women to win the WWF Hardcore Championship in 2000.

Lita, also debuted as a valet for Essa Rios which was initially the role that was intended for Malia Hosaka, but wwf at the time felt Lita was the better fit for the role.

Trish Stratus went on to debut as a valet for T&A in March of 2000

Muffy debuted as a crazy fitness instructor for Stephanie McMahon Helmsley being assigned as her personal trainer, she didn’t have much tv time after that like Hosaka.

Malia Hosaka did have a few appearances with wwf, She then appeared on the June 28, 1999, edition of Raw Is War as a fan answering Ivory's challenge for her WWF Women's Championship but was instead attacked by Nicole Bass and Ivory until WWF head of security Jim Dotson stopped them

I do feel like Bobcat, Hosaka, and Muffy could have contributed more to the division had wwf put more attention on the women during this period, as both Bobcat and Hosaka were trained wrestlers, and Muffy was learning and wanting to get involved more physically.

However, all these women were the class of 1999 recruitment process.

Malia Hosaka ( Aphrodisia)

For those of you who aren’t aware of who this woman is, well Hosaka first signed her official wwf contract in 1999, she then defeated brandi Alexander in a dark match on March 29th 1999. Shortly after this, She then appeared on the June 28, 1999, edition of Raw Is War as a fan answering Ivory's challenge for her WWF Women's Championship but was instead attacked by Nicole Bass and Ivory until WWF head of security Jim Dotson stopped them. Since she was instantly recognized from her WCW appearances, the proposed "Rocky Balboa" idea for her character fell to the wayside. She accompanied Taka Michinoku to the ring in his challenge for Dean Malenko's WWF Light Heavyweight Championship, but the storyline was not developed further. WWF kept her under contract for a year, and shortly before her contract expired, they considered bringing her to the main roster under the name "Aphrodisia" and pairing her with Essa Rios, who was debuting soon. Instead, the role was given to Amy Dumas and the character was renamed "Lita". Hosaka was then released due to an internal lack of character idea development.

I do think she could’ve been a valuable addition to the women’s division, she could’ve helped elevated the women and possibly have became a woman’s champion.

WWE 2K26 NXT Women’s Division

I honestly have to say that WWE 2K26 has without a doubt one of the best, most diverse NXT Women’s roster in the games franchise to date, honestly one of the best we’ve gotten this far, and I’m so happy that this many women from the brand were featured because in 2025, the women’s division in NXT had never been as more competitive than ever! so it was nice to see they got better recognition this time around. I also loved all the gear choices for each of the women which I felt 2K captured their characters perfectly 💕

The only downside is Tatum Paxley wasn’t updated along with Wendy Choo 🙄

Current Smackdown Women’s Division

Who are your current favourite women on the Smackdown brand, I feel like the blue brand is the brand to be for all the women at the moment, was so happy for Tatum being called up it’s been a long time coming for her.

I’m not sure why WWE haven’t debuted Blake in the ring as of yet, and Jordynne Grace and Giulia I feel aren’t being utilised as much as they were first hyped up.

Anyways, I’d love to hear everyone’s thoughts 💕

WCW Backstage Assault Women’s Division

Did you know that WCW Backstage Assault is the first and only game in its series that included the most amount of playable female characters on its roster during its lifetime.

Despite the game not being a very big commercial success it was still nice to see these women of WCW gain this recognition at the time.

The game featured the following playable women:

  1. Torrie Wilson
  2. Miss Hancock
  3. Daffney
  4. Kimberley
  5. Mona
  6. Major Gunns
  7. Aysa
  8. Madusa
  9. Elizabeth

I’m very surprised they didn’t add Paisley, Tygress or even Midajah.

WCW Wrestlers who didn’t sign with WWE

During 2001, WCW was purchased by WWF, several talent from WCW were selected to join the company, but there are many more talents from this company who never got the chance to work with WWE, I think many of them could’ve fitted with wwe product at the time, but I don’t know if many of them didn’t want to go to the company or simply wwe didn’t feel there was any value in bringing them in.

Is there any WCW talent that you were shocked that wasn’t signed by wwe

Do you think WWE dropped the ball by not signing a lot of WCW talent that could’ve all brought something to the company?
