Help me with this attic nook in my bedroom

My bedroom is in the attic and in front of my bed is this storage space built by the previous tenant.

Could you please suggest what i can do with the space above the storage? I don't want a laying down space or a reading space since my bed is right in front of it. What else can this be made into? Please help 😭
