College life isn't a huge concern for me, mainly looking for good coding culture, placements, good peers, etc.
I applied for IIIT Delhi’s mop-up round under International Admissions and received three offers: CSE-SUNY, ECE-SUNY (with a 25% scholarship), and EVE (25% scholarship). I ended up turning them down because I thought spending two years at SUNY Albany was mandatory.
Five days ago, I emailed asking if doing all four years on the IIITD campus was an option. They just got back to me today clarifying that the SUNY part is completely optional... right after I had already paid the fee for DASA. 😭😭
I asked my dad if we could still go with the IIITD offer, but he felt $7,500/semester wasn’t worth it—especially given how unserious the interview process felt. His reasoning makes sense, but now I’m wondering: did I miss out on a great opportunity?
