I built NotCupid as an alternative to endless swiping. Set your age and gender preferences, receive up to two compatibility-based options, and privately choose yes or pass. Only mutual interest moves forward.
Up to two selected pairs will have dinner on August 20 at 6:30 or 8:30 PM, covered by NotCupid up to $200 per pair.
Free to enter. Ages 21+ within 20 miles of 02116. Entries close August 18 at 11:59 PM ET.
Some of you may remember NotCupid from my previous posts here. I’ve continued building it based on community feedback, and we’re now opening a small Boston based connection Experiment.
Participants complete a profile, answer a few compatibility questions, and choose the ages and genders they’re interested in meeting. Potential matches are only suggested when both people’s preferences align, and everyone decides privately whether they’re interested.
Up to two mutually interested pairs will be selected for dinner on Thursday, August 20. NotCupid will cover dinner up to $200 per selected pair.
Entry is free. Participants must be 21+, live within approximately 20 miles of 02116, and be available that evening. Entries close Tuesday, August 18. Selection and a match aren’t guaranteed.

It feels like in today’s society one of the hardest drawbacks is social connections. Being a transplant myself, I know how exhausting it can be to balance life in professional and personal aspects.
Almost a year ago I started a discord for South Asians as a baseline for people to connect, meet and make friends and find people who want to vibe and do things together.
Through it I have met some really amazing people to make genuine friends and got to know them enough to say I had a social circle.

I'm a 90s kid, grew up playing on the streets with sticks, stones in a third-world country. Connection back then wasn't a project, it just happened. So maybe I'm not the right person to explain why it's so broken now. But I've lived it.

A week ago I introduced NotCupid.com that takes a quick HEXACO personality quiz plus your own preferences, then matches you with people in Greater Boston who actually think and click like you.
The most useful thing it does is surface the people you’d genuinely vibe with & not just whoever happens to be standing near you.

For those who have tried the app yet, thankyou! Wanted to share some fresh updates -
Re did the quiz and algo so if you have an account it should prompt you to retake it to get a better match as the algo has improved to refine matches and pool.
After seeing so many matches, complain about ghosting and matching with people they don’t initiate, now you can choose a ghosted tag that marks the ghosted user to prevent future clutter.
Refined some more lil things and lastly, a pure platonic friendship date option with activities and more will be coming soon so stay tuned

In 48 hrs - 325 users singed up, 157 matches !!
Took the feedback and upgraded the app to show more features and include more items to see what people vibe with (updated 75 mile radius vs match of 25 miles, in-app chat, profiles with photos, bio/music/food/hobbies, match acceptance flow)

After seeing so many posts about blind dates and trying to meet people on here, I built something to ease friction
It's called “NotCupid” No swiping. No photos first. Just an 18 question quiz built on real personality and psych the algorithm scores you and matches you with one compatible person in Boston.
When you match, both of you get an email with a spot in the city to meet at. That's it. Show up or don't.
