Internet for a studio apartment?

Looking to see what everyone is paying for monthly internet in Dekalb. Need it for TV streaming, x box, and computer use - no heavy computer gaming. xfinity quoted me $80 which seems outrageous. What is everyone paying and what plan are you on? This is for one person in a studio apartment

Chicago show- United Center question

For those of you who have already gone to the show, are there decent dining options either inside the venue or very nearby? Trying to figure out a meal before showtime.

Tips to help young adult son process an out of state move?

After 30 years, we are moving to another state for my husband's new job. Our current house is the only house our kids have ever known. 22 year old son is on the spectrum - pretty high functioning, but a history of mental health issues that have taken a few years to finally stabilize. His big triggers are (of course) major changes to routine, and handling disappointment when things do not go exactly as he had envisioned in his head. We were hoping this move would be easier on him because he is currently in college and will be in an apartment starting in August. We purposefully have held off the final move until after he is settled in his place for the semester, but he is having extreme difficulty with even talking about not having his house anymore. To make it worse, his small group of lifelong friends live here. He'll be an hour away when he's at school, but 2 hours away when he's at the new house on breaks. He can drive, but not on the highway. Anyone go through a major move with a young adult child on the spectrum? Anyone have any tips or words of advice?

Leaving your long term home

Seeking reassurance from my fellow old people that I will survive this - we are moving quite unexpectedly from our first and only home after 30 years. We raised our kids here. We built our lives here. We have the home exactly where we want it. But alas my spouse had a job change and now we are moving to a completely different type of area and house. Going from a modern-ish (90's build) home to a 100 year old home. Downsizing (yay), but also quality downsizing a bit (boo) because the area is sadly very expensive. It will take a few years to have the money to upgrade things in this new house. Exciting new location with lots to explore, but I'm emotional and freaked out. Fellow older people - how did you manage the emotions of leaving your longtime homes?

This is so fun

I’m endlessly watching concert clips and reading everyone’s posts and analysis and just basking in everyone’s excitement and joy. The world sucks right now and this is such a wonderful balm for my soul. I’m going to the Chicago show in July. My husband introduced me to Rush when we met in 1989. He’s seen them 22 times. I love Rush because their music will forever remind me of the beginning of our journey together. I can’t wait to experience all this joy in person next month. I’ll be thrilled with any set list, but man I’d love to hear Dreamline and Marathon.

New to the area- tell me about Sendiks

We are moving to the area next month from out of state and have to figure out all our new shopping routines. There is a Sendiks market nearby. Is this just specialty shopping? Just for fancy meat and cheese? We are currently Aldi/costco people for our main shopping.

Moving out of state -tuition change?

Our son has been at NIU for 2 full years in the dorms and is moving to an aparment next year. We are moving out of state this summer. I assume since he's now in an apartment in DeKalb he can still claim Illinois residency for tuition purposes? He's 22 years old so I didn't know if it even mattered where his parents lived.

Do any of you use eco-friendly/biodegradable library cards? A company reached out to us and we were intrigued.
