How to properly learn to draw 2d shapes?

I've been learning how to draw 2D shapes and I'm a bit lost. How many weeks should I spend learning to draw 2D shapes? Should I focus on just drawing circles, squares, and triangles before moving on to more complex shapes like octagons, hexagons, ect? If so, how long should I focus on the basic 3 shapes before moving on to the complex ones?

So far, the ones I found are Veterinary Technology, Supply Chain Management, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, What do you think about those 3?

Just began practicing drawing 2D shapes?

I recently started to practice drawing 2d shapes yesterday and I had a bit of a difficult time. I tried the ghosting method, which sorta worked with the circles; but for the shapes, it was a lot more tricky. I don't know if it's because I either have mainly been using the mouse pad to draw, didn't got the lines to perfectly line up when connecting, or if I still need to work on my lines. What do you think? Is this normal for beginnings? What are some tips drawing better with a mousepad?
