Hi all, I volunteer at a rural k-8 elementary school with very low-income kids. This school doesn't assign homework and doesn't teach the 7/8 graders how to use Canvas before high school, which is causing a bunch of them to drop out or fail in the first year. All of the local high schools use Canvas.

Is there a way for me to make a class on Canvas for them to use to practice? Do I need to pay for a teacher account?

Has anyone had radon mitigation success without the loud radon fan? All radon-related advice appreciated. Radon horror stories are welcome too.

I tried RadonSeal and it’s not working. I’m posting this on the radon sub, but local recommendations are good too.

We are a mixed-race POC family— my mom is a war refugee and I am clearly a WOC both visually and culturally. My children are all mixed race and most of them look like me, but I have one child who is white-presenting.

Would it be wrong or inappropriate for her to accept a POC internship opportunity?
