Need Help As Digital Marketer !! B2B

i (m20) started working as a digital marketer a month ago at a startup that does odoo implementation (b2b, based in delhi, but we cover haryana and up too). company's about 6 months old and had zero digital presence before i joined.

after digging through articles/yt videos, figured since it's b2b, linkedin should be primary (AI Citation Purpose) and insta/fb secondary. rn i'm making educational carousels for linkedin and repurposing them on insta/fb, plus linkedin articles. currently at 92 followers on linkedin and 23 on insta.

also tried meta ads for the last 14 days since they're cheaper and felt promising — ran one earlier for the company's investor and it did well, but running something similar for the startup itself flopped.

And meta seems very unpredictable since i am new to meta
i ran total 4 campaigns last month

Account 1: Ran 3 similar Click-to-WhatsApp campaigns:

  • Engagement – Maximize Clicks
  • Engagement – Maximize Conversations
  • Leads – Maximize Conversations

Maximize Conversations was 10x more expensive than Maximize Clicks — across both the Engagement and Leads objectives. Felt absurd at the time.

Account 2: Ran Leads – Maximize Conversations (Click-to-WhatsApp) again — and this time it came out as the cheapest of all three, even beating Maximize Clicks.

need some real direction here, what should i actually be focusing on rn? (meta is just annoying ATP)

Why This HUGE DIFFERENCE IN CPM ?!

New to Meta ads, and this one's messing with my head.

Account 1: Ran 3 similar Click-to-Whtsap campaigns:

Engagement – Maximize Clicks

Engagement – Maximize Conversations

Leads – Maximize Conversations

Maximize Conversations was 10x more expensive than Maximize Clicks — across both the Engagement and Leads objectives. Felt absurd at the time.

Account 2: Ran Leads – Maximize Conversations (Click-to-Whtsap ) again — and this time it came out as the cheapest of all three like 20x Cheaper, even beating Maximize Clicks.

Same click-to-Whtsap setup, same structure even the same budget across both account and all the campaigns

Pre-Filled and Greeting Not Working !! PLS HELP !!

I was running a Click-to-Message campaign with the Leads objective, and the greeting + pre-filled message were working fine.

I switched to Engagement → Maximum Clicks, but I started getting lots of clicks with almost no conversations. I then noticed the greeting and pre-filled message weren't showing.

I paused it and created another Engagement → Maximum Conversations campaign, hoping it was just a bug, but the issue is still there.

Has anyone else faced this? Is there something different about these settings that I'm missing? It worked perfectly with the Leads objective.
