His resilience and determination makes me cry

He faced A LOT of trials in his life. Lupus, anorexia, vitiligo, police brutality, the Pepsi burn, and so many other things, and he always continue to just TRY. People made fun of his looks and he always tried to show up and make lemonade out of lemons. Imagine how he felt looking in the mirror and not recognizing himself? His resilience just makes me cry. He tried to create beauty out of pain at every turn.

Has anyone fallen in love with their life in their early 30s?

I realized today that I’m not in love with my life. I’ve just been coasting. It’s not bad, but I’m not madly in love with it. Has anyone ever felt this way? Did you change it? What advice would you give?

I’ve seen some Ola haters in this sub oddly enough

There is a user in the sub who I have seen talking terribly about Olandria and another sub. It’s crazy to me. How obsessed with her people are. I’m scared. And yes, I reported them to the mods.

MJ got his very first nose job because he broke his nose during a dance rehearsal. He had to subsequently get it done multiple times due to issues with the surgery due to his lupus. It makes me so sad that he was misrepresented for that.
EDIT: the reason why I wanted it in the movie is because I wanted people to hear his story and have compassion for him. But now that I think about it, those who want to make fun of him and be unkind towards him are going to do that regardless. There is no amount of full story telling that it’s going to make someone have compassion for someone they don’t have compassion for.

I just wish his life was easier. It breaks my heart to see how he continued to try to get people to understand him who were dedicated to misunderstanding him. He was such a beautiful human and I wish he was still here..
