I have a highschool band concert in a week and in one piece I have to switch instruments about 4 times, but I always fail to do it quick enough, how do I do it quicker?

I have a selmer contra alto clarinet and my band director wants me to try out for all state (virginia) on it, though i have trouble getting any notes higher than thumb C out, every note before that is completely reliable i just cant get D and above to come out, any tips?
