“Big Kid Room”

Upgraded our toddler into her “big kid room” out of the nursery and flipped her Kura bed to the loft style, but we don’t trust her to safely get down with the ladder, so we used the trofast as stairs hack!
Löva canopy above bed to steer thoughts of standing up in bed away and I ordered extra of the brackets used for wall mounts and secured the bed and the stairs to the wall (can’t be overly cautious with a toddler)
Used the daggkaprifol picture ledge shelf as tonie character storage since it’s metal and the characters magnetize to it!
Sötenas was found in the as-is section in our store IN BOX and it fixed perfectly under the Kura bed for a lounge chair!
Toddler was over the moon ofc and loves her new big kid room

Duplicate citation less than 5 days apart?

We got our first ever instant ticket in 4 yrs we’ve lived here on 9/8 because a tree on our neighbors property was overgrown and grew onto the sidewalk on OUR property. Frustrating, sure especially because I wasn’t aware we were responsible once it landed onto our property (now we know, we cut down what was on our property and we’ll be more mindful in the future).

I call today to pay the citation(since we just got it in the mail yesterday) and when I get to the division of revenue they say we had TWO citations on file. Weird because I obsessively check our mail and we only ever received one. So they transfer me around (everyone is very nice!)till I get to the licensing division and the woman on the phone says one citation is from 9/5 and the other is from 9/8. I tell her that we never got the citation from 9/5 in the mail and if she could tell me what it was for and what the image was attached the citation.

PLOT TWIST, it was pretty much the SAME image for the SAME tree just slightly different since it was taken on a different day. 5 days apart. Not even 5 full business days apart! Especially because once we learned it was our responsibility to cut it back, we did. Super frustrating, they say to call the inspector and we can try to appeal it.

Has anyone else had this happen before or am I just the lucky one who gets identical citations within 3 business days of each other?

Requested for trash pick up -still there?

I called the city to schedule a trash pick up for an old mattress since we recently got a new one. They told me to put the mattress out where we usually put our trash out after 6pm yesterday (Friday), but as of 1:30pm today, the mattress is still on the curb. Does anyone know when it will actually get picked up? I hate contributing to trash in the city and want to be sure I’m doing the right thing

39 week labor induction

Got my initial labor induction message about a date being set but no set time yet. Should I be expecting it super early and just be prepared or is it truly just random? Had my first induction years ago during covid so things definitely seem different now but I want to be prepared and know what to expect
