My mood as of late

It's hard to describe the mental stuff that we all might go through. I completely relate to this look right now. All the weight that he's had to bear, all the things he's gone through, and everything that's tearing through in his mind at this moment. And he's "pretty good."

NER and Acela Cancelations on 9/12/26

For those who haven't gotten the email yet, work on the Walk Bridge Replacement Project in Norwalk, CT is resulting in canceling all NER and Acela trains on 9/12 between NYP and BOS. It might be possible use Metro North between New Haven and Grand Central, which could be...an adventure.

And now...the Amtrak site is dead

Apparently the flurry of trip changes was too much for their system.

(Edit for clarity: The October schedule shifts due to the Portal Bridge in the northeast corridor is probably overwhelming them.)

Glad I found this subreddit

I had a catheter inserted a couple of years ago due to urinary retention related to BPH. That's been mitigated with medication, but now I'm getting more and more concerned with urinary frequency, dribbling, and the dreaded "spray" when I go.

Thinking back on the cath procedure, I'm sure they botched it. It took several people to insert it correctly, and once it finally went in, there was apparently quite a bit of blood before the urine started flowing. I never thought about the long term effect of scarring and damage to the urethra.

Lately I have been thinking that I was just going crazy and that this would be my life forever...but now I have a name for what might be the cause, and I'm going to have a discussion with my urologist on how to improve my situation.

Anyway...thanks for being here.

People who run their mouths constantly at sporting events

I understand talking about the game and cheering. But damn, we all paid to watch the game in person, not to hear your opinions on anything and everything…ALL THE TIME.
