Is a partner living with me in a shared ownership considered a lodger?

Hi all,

I own 40% of my shared ownership house and after looking on my HA website I can’t find anything whether a partner moving in with me would be considered a lodger.

My a hole neighbour threatened to report me for having a lodger for 12 months but he is my partner so it’s not really the same as a lodger is it? I don’t make money out of his presence in my house.

Has anyone been in a similar situation? I am scared to call HA now in case they actually consider him to be a lodger.

How do I put someone off from stopping at my front door and every other time looking into the house through the windows?

My neighbours think front of my house is their own private waiting area to have a chat, discuss the weather, look into my windows to see inside the house. Does anyone have any ideas?

I am over asking and don’t want to make complaints as they would have to be declared when the house eventually goes on sale in future.

I live alone and I am absolutely fed up with this. I already had a run in with them last year but this is driving me nuts. I can’t leave the blinds up as they walk past my windows about 6 times a day, stopping, chatting, looking around, looking inside.

I would appreciate any ideas that are disruptive enough to put someone off from stopping at my front door. Danke Schon

Financial/debt advisor in Derby

I am looking for a financial or debt advisor in Derby or Derbyshire. I am looking online but everyone seems to be dedicated to wealth growth and mortgages rather than providing advice to get out of the gutter really.

Can someone recommend anyone? It’s not a CJP kind of situation, more like bad credit due to credit utilisation. The goal is to sell/buy a house but I don’t think a mortgage advisor will be able to provide assistance I need. I am not only after a mortgage offer, that’s more in the future.

Any recommendations will be appreciated. Thank you

I feel like nothing at work. Probably venting

I am absolutely incapable of getting anything right. Not a single freaking thing I get right. Can’t even attach the correct document to an email. Non stop something wrong. I will end up with disciplinary at least this time around. I literally can’t cope anymore with what sort of embarrassment I became over the years at this job. It’s never-ending stream of failures. No amounts of resets and carte blanche have helped so far. I am probably too dumb to do any job at this point.

I feel like I want to up and leave everything. It was supposed to be a stepping stone kind of a job but since I am a neverending freaking failure I am stuck in the dark corner of this stupid job and can’t get anything else out of it. I also think I was a diversity hire and they can’t wait to see the back of me because hey ho why have this foreign national doing stupid shit day in and out.

Hello,

I am in the UK and have been feeding local hedgehogs for about 4 years. Today morning 05:00 I was up and noticed rat going in and out of the hedgehog house.

I am absolutely petrified not because of the single rat I have seen but because I have hedgehog houses at the front and at the back of my house and very nasty neighbours. They already made me get rid of a hedgehog house from a communal grass verge due to dogs and cats sticking their heads in it to munch on hedgehog food.

My question is - will the wild hedgehogs be alright if I stop feeding them for a while and hopefully neighbourhood cats resolve the issue with rats? I am absolutely petrified as the neighbours are known for reporting each other and once they notice a rat or two nearby, they will report the hell out of me and blame me for causing it. I probably have caused it with years of feeding hedgehogs and some birds but I am worried if the hedgehogs will manage without me feeding them? There are at least 3 different ones coming over every night and I have no idea what to do. Can someone please advise?
