Best birthday present ever

Best birthday present ever

Yes, I am a 45 year old excited over a lamp. Lol. I was boring the daylights out of my mother recently while obsessing about Vox Machina and apparently my mother was listening a little bit because she made this with her 3D printer for me for my birthday! (July 6th)

Don't stress that Vox Machina did not get paid for the right to use the imagery, she paid for the print.

BUT LOOK AT IT!!! SQUEE!!!!

I have only just started

And this is perhaps because I am not the best player but did it seem kinda hard at the beginning? It took me a long while to even figure out how to survive, even in the Old Camp, at first.

I am slowly starting to get the hang of it but I still am weak as a kitten. I am thinking of venturing out and finding one critter at a time near the camp and scum saving and fighting to beef up a little.

Am I doing something wrong or is this normal?

Looking for D & D

I have tried a few times to start a group and it has fallen apart every time. So now i am just hoping to find a group I can join. I am a total noob. I have never played D&D a day in my life. I have played some D&D style games like Baldur's Gate but that is about it.

In case it matters, I am a 45 year old, disabled lesbian with a fantastic sense of humor. I learn quick. I can't drive so it needs to be in Chico proper so I can Uber.

I don't mind waiting for a new campaign... just let me know if there is a possibility somewhere. Thanks!

Got some suggestions for me?

I especially enjoy audio dramas to go to sleep to. It is kinda like a bedtime story. I am looking for some new ones. The best ones for me to go to sleep to are the kinda quiet ones, like the Nick Silver PARcast shows like Fairie, Rabbits and Tanis. My all time favorite to listen to is The Bright Sessions, but I have also listened to and enjoyed many others... such as Limetown, Homecoming, We're Alive (and the spinoffs), The Black Tapes and Wolf359.

Any suggestions for an immersive audio drama? I like mystery, fantasy, sci-fi... I do not care for horror at all.

Funny little side story. I first listened to Limetown about 7 years ago. I found it on a list of best True Crime Podcasts, so for a much longer than average time I thought it was real and it scared the CRAP out of me. Lolol.
