[Hamilton] I got my very first watch today

I have been wearing smart watches and fitness trackers for the past couple of years, I decided I finally wanted to simplify my life a bit so I picked this Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical Bronze Edition up in an effort to keep my eyes off of my phone and on the things that matter in my life. Just trying to live a little more intentionally.

I don’t know if I plan on starting a collection but, but I can’t help but crack a smile every time I look at this thing, and I can’t wait for it to patina as the years go on.

Looking at purchasing an IN-18 clock, can’t decide between two options!

Hello! As the title states I’m looking at purchasing an IN-18 Nixie clock, and I am looking at 2 different ones and was wondering if anyone had any input, here are the two:

https://inixielab.com/products/inixie-watch

https://www.kirovnixie.com/product/nixie-clock-in18-4/

The iNixie is tempting because it is $50 cheaper and I think it looks a bit sleeker and aesthetically appealing, the downside for me is that it has no physical buttons and Is controlled with an app, and it is from a relatively new manufacturer that is making new tubes and doesn’t have many reviews.

I like the Kirov Nixie clock as well as it is made in Ukraine with NOS Soviet tubes and it has physical buttons and a decent amount of good reviews behind the name (albeit a bit more expensive)

Was looking for any input from anyone that may have purchased one of these two clocks and have give me some opinions on them.

Thanks!

Does this black part of the filament indicate a bad tube?

Sorry, last post in the thrift store Nixie saga. I replaced the watch battery as another user suggested, 3 of the tubes now light, the one that doesn’t has this black bar across the top

Photos of the inside of the thrift store Nixie tube clock

Don’t see anything to indicate what kind of power it takes, I tried a 12v center positive 500ma power supply as that seemed to be the consensus on the comments of my last post, the clock made a noise when I turned it on the first time but nothing lit up, now it makes no noise when I turn it on.

Edit: it sometimes makes a little chirp when I turn it on and off

Edit2: I tried a 12V center positive 500mA power supply, the clock made a loud beep and a blue LED lit up under each tube for about a second, but it didn’t do anything beyond that

Found this lil guy at a thrift store, any idea what sort of power supply I need for it?

Picked it up for only $0.50 but have no idea if it works or not, don’t see any sort of markings on it to indicate what sort of power it needs.

Think I was scammed, do I have any recourse?

So I sold some collectible coke bottles on eBay, buyer messaged me and said they leaked in transit and caused a huge mess, sent me a photo of the half full bottles.

I refunded them and didn’t ask for the item back since I figured it would be a big mess. I made a claim with USPS and they asked that I send them the item for my claim to be approved (I’ve made probably a dozen claims before and they have never done this)

I asked the buyer if they would send me the item back and I received no response from them, I checked their profile and noticed they’re account is brand new with 0 feedback, I also ran the photo they sent me of the half full bottles through an AI image detector and it came back with an 83% likelyhood that the image was altered.

Can anyone give me a ballpark on what they think this ring would be worth?

Looking to buy this as an engagement ring and just not sure what a good price would be for it

What is the deal with GameStops retro game return policy and how do I deal with this problem I’m having?

I have 1 GameStop location within 2 hours of my house, so going to a different store is not an option.

I ordered a dozen retro games for the buy 2 get one 1 free sale, I just got the last of them in today. Out of the 12 games, 3 games have discs that are clearly damaged and unreadable. I took them in to my local GameStop store to return them, and the employee tells me he can only do store credit on defective games because I am past the 7 day return window.

The problem here is that the bulk of the games arrived on the 8th day after I made the purchase. I’m not sure if this employee or myself is not understanding the return policy. I assumed the 7 days was after the item was received, It seems completely asinine to have the return period start when you make a purchase only to not receive the games you bought for another 8 days when the return period has already ended.

I refused the store credit and opted to send an email to corporate because I pretty much only collect retro games and my GameStop doesn’t have a retro section and the employee at the store said they can’t credit my account, it would have to be an exchange made in the same transaction.

I’m just kind of upset I now have about $80 worth of games I paid for that are unplayable, would it be reasonable to file a chargeback with my credit card if GameStop is not willing to resolve this with me?
