Took the train for the first time ever yesterday and what the fuck was that?

I’ve lived on cape cod my whole life and my best friend lives in dorchester. I hate driving into Boston so I avoid it at all costs (24 and 93 are the worst). Also, I’ve sat in 4th of July traffic getting home all week (2+ hours to get home from Plymouth when it usually takes 40ish minutes) Decided to drive to Taunton bc I have family there. The plan was to stop by my Auntie’s, then take the commuter rail to south station. It was free since it was Friday and I figured it’d be good to start to learn how to use the trains.

That shit was fucking ridiculous. Before our first stop in Middleboro we stopped for 20 minutes because of a late train. Then stopped for 2-5 minutes at a few other stops. Arrived at south station about 30 minutes late.

I thought maybe I just had some bad luck heading in and the ride back would be better. I was dead wrong.

Took the 10:10 train home, it was delayed about 20 minutes arriving because of a mechanical issue. Then, we got stuck at Randolph/Holbrook for 50 minutes because of a “trespasser”.

I was thinking next time I’d drive to Braintree and take the red line, but I need to know - Is it always this bad?? Am I better off driving into Boston even though I hate it?? Should I just continue to avoid Boston at all costs???

Bathtub recommendations?

I moved back home with my mom recently and have 50/50 custody of my daughter (3f, 30lb, 36in tall)

We’ve always used the Frida baby grow with me tub for her. She’s absolutely starting to outgrow it. The problem is, there are no bathtubs in my mom’s house.

Any recommendations for a tub that would be better suited for a growing toddler?

10 pounds to go!

I started tirz in mid-April and I’m currently 10 pounds away from my goal weight! I’ve heard some say that the last little bit can be harder to lose but wanted to ask if anyone here had any tips or things that helped them around this point?

I started at 1.5mg, went up to 3, and then started 6mg this past Sunday. I walk 3 miles a day during my lunch break and then typically do either weights or stair master for about 30-45 minutes after work. I’ve been drinking about 100 oz of water a day. I definitely need to work on eating more. This week has been really rough as far as my appetite, and I feel like upping my dose was a mistake but I was just following the plan on Gimme. I think it may be a good idea to drop back to 3mg this week? Or should I taper back down more slowly?

Nervous about next shot

I finished my first 4 weeks of 1.5mg, which went great. No side effects. Dropped about 13 lbs. From what I’ve read on here, it seems a lot of people start at 2.5 mg.

Sunday, I take my first dose of 3mg and I’m a little nervous. I ordered zofran but it hasn’t shipped yet.

I understand every body is different and will react differently, but was hoping to hear of others experiences titrating up, and things that helped with your side effects.

Could this possibly arrive early?

Scheduled delivery date is Tuesday, but package arrived in Boston this morning. I live on Cape Cod (1.5-2 hours from Boston) Does FedEx ever deliver before the scheduled delivery date? Will they just hold it all weekend?

28F 5’1 SW: 161.0 CW: 154.4 GW: 115

I started tirzepatide through Gimme on 4/19. I’m on a very low dose (1.5mg for 4 weeks) but my body has had a great response so far. I’m walking 3 miles a day during my lunch break at work, going to the gym, and eating a clean diet. This past Sunday, 4/26 I weighed in at 153.2 - so just shy of 8 lbs down the first week. I took my second shot that morning, and started my cycle that afternoon.

Monday morning - weighed in at 154.4. Same thing Tuesday, same thing today.

Is this normal? I’m sticking to the exact same routine as last week. I haven’t had any cravings or cheat meals before or during my period. And I’m drinking about a half gallon of water daily.
