Hello,

My friend and I applied for the Chancenkarte around the same time, and in our applications we both indicated that we plan to go to the same city/place in Germany.

I have been waiting for about 1.5 months and still haven't received a decision.

Could the fact that we are both planning to go to the same place have any impact on my application or cause additional scrutiny? Or is this completely irrelevant to the visa decision?

Has anyone been in a similar situation?

I applied for the German Opportunity Card (Chancenkarte) about a month ago. I meet all the eligibility requirements and submitted all the required documents.

When I applied, I indicated that I planned to travel to Germany on June 1st. However, I still haven't received any response or update regarding my application.

Is it normal to wait for a whole month without receiving any response? If my application is approved, will they issue the visa with a new validity date, or could the intended travel date I provided cause any issues?
