New hoodie

Saw these hoodies at Game 1 of the women's Origin and got one of my own. I'm going to men's Games 1 and 2 and it's getting cold too. Also comes in maroon, if you're on "the purple team" like the Heelers and 3/4 of the golden labs.

I included photos of some other Bluey clothing at Best & Less for your perusal.

Lowest finishing GFist, etc

Everyone on here is so angry at Sydney knocking out the Premiers and cup winners Jets you're forgetting what a close table it was.

In 2018 a team 14 points clear of anyone else, who had also won the cup earlier that season, got knocked out by a team 23 points behind them who then went on to win the GF, and the world didn't end. I think the league will recover from a team 9 points behind the Premiers knocking them out, and most likely a team only 6 behind the top spot winning the GF.

Auckland also only finished a single point behind Adelaide, just outside the top 2. It's far from incomprehensible that they won their semi and are now hosting the GF. This league is also always desperate for something new, and a GF in NZ is something new.

Yes, the finals systems is weird and potentially rewards an average league performance, but finals in countries like Australia and NZ is also a spectacle that puts bums in seats.

It's not an Arsenal scarf

Context: It's an SC Freiburg scarf because there's a friendship between some Cove people and Freiburg fans. The Super Sydney FC chant comes from Freiburg's Super Sports Club Freiburg chant. Freiburg just made the Europa League final. They're supporting their German mates, who have done the same for Sydney FC.

Long story short, Fed Square in Melbourne shuts its live site (outdoor big screen) for the FIFA World Cup due to some previous issues with flares/pyro, government steps in and reverses the ban, the "anti-sportsball" NIMBYs are furious.

I'm not sure how it's a "bread and circuses" type distraction if the government isn't planning the gathering but merely reversing a ban, but TF do I know?
