What are we even doing here, man?
I know the offense is the biggest problem (whoda thunk?) but are we seriously saying we still can't find room for this guy in our pen?

What even is the plan here?
A few days early, but I know the anniversary celebrations are already rolling ahead. Hard to believe it's been a decade. When I think of winning the title, I often think of these two first. The late great Fred McLeod and Mr. Cavalier Austin Carr. So happy they got to be there for it!
It should not be overlooked that Don Waddell played a significant role in constructing the skeleton of a team that just won a Stanley Cup. How confident are you in his ability to bring us closer to that goal within the next few seasons here in Columbus?
Guardians' No. 4 prospect Khal Stephen (elbow) placed on IL
mlb.comSince May 20th, the Guardians have the second fewest runs in baseball, are last in home runs, are third last in RBI, are 24th in walks, 27th in on base, 29th in slugging and, perhaps most alarmingly, have the second most strikeouts (all according to StatMuse)
CORRECTION: unfortunately, these appear to be the numbers going into the day June 9th, so not taking into account games played on June 9th or after. Also Statmuse's data pools can be a little wonky so, take it for what you will.
Original post: For the season, we are bottom 4 with RISP with a .679 OPS (although the actual runs scored total is admittedly better, 20th in baseball)
We can complain about bullpen depth all we want. We need Erik. We need another piece on top of that sure. We can complain about starting pitching being less than perfect. We can complain about Vogt and umpiring, etc etc
But this offense is a far cry from the "middle of the pack" team we saw for the approx 50 ish games to start the year. They have not heated up with the weather (yet).
As tradition, "it's only June". The AL is wide open.
Despite all that yuck, we're only 2 games under .500 on this stretch.
Hopefully this can get turned around soon, but some cards need to be shuffled, and some roster decisions will need to be made before the trade deadline, no doubt about it.
For now tho, I'm not enjoying Guardsball™ very much

Hops Tickets for tonight 5/29
Not expecting anything, but does anyone got any Hillsboro Hops tix they'd be willing to part with tonight, or can't make it? Any tickets that just won't sell?
I'd be happy to put em to use

Glass half full: Our schedule has been ridiculous, and we're still hanging with the best of the best. One more tough challenge before the break.
By the time we hit the break, we will be 13 matches in (most in the league) and 6 of them will have been against the best teams in the league besides us (Washington, Utah, San Diego, KC, Gotham)
That means of our remaining 17, only 4 of them will be among that group (2 vs Gotham, at home vs Washington and on the road vs Utah). Plus, thank goodness, no more 3 match weeks.
Today was frustrating. Very. But I think we're still in great position. Clearly dealing with some tired legs and bumps and bruises.
One more tall task ahead, time to regroup and flip the page. Need to take care of business, but still feel good about our chances to get healthy, make adjustments, and meet the moment later this summer vs a much more friendly schedule.
