Sydney Chandler As Jessica Drew / Spider-Woman — Would This Work For The MCU?

Sydney Chandler is best known for playing Wendy in Alien: Earth, and I think she could bring something different to Jessica Drew. Jessica is traditionally a white British woman in the comics, but the MCU has never been afraid to reinterpret characters for live action. Chandler has the intensity and mysterious presence that could really fit Jessica’s espionage background. I’d lean heavily into the spy side of Spider-Woman before connecting her to the larger Spider-Man world, while keeping her classic red-and-yellow look, venom blasts, and gliding abilities.

Caylee Cowan as Black Cat—tell me this doesn’t look like Felicia Hardy

Black Cat needs someone who can balance elegance, danger, playfulness, and mystery without feeling like Marvel’s version of Catwoman. Caylee Cowan has the glamorous look and confident energy to make Felicia Hardy immediately stand out, while still feeling believable as someone capable of manipulating—and genuinely falling for—Peter Parker. Give her strong writing, convincing stunt training, and the right chemistry with Spider-Man, and I could absolutely see this working. What do you think?

Lizze Broadway as Gwenpool—Gen V already proved she could pull this off

Gwenpool needs someone who can be funny, awkward, chaotic, and emotionally genuine without feeling like a female Deadpool imitation. Lizze Broadway already balances ridiculous superhero situations with real vulnerability as Emma in Gen V. She has the comedic timing for Gwen’s meta humor, but she can also handle the insecurity underneath all that confidence and chaos. I could genuinely see her making Gwenpool feel strange, unpredictable, and surprisingly human. Could you see it?

Taz Skylar as Gambit—the MCU X-Men casting

Gambit needs more than the right appearance—he needs swagger, charm, humor, and the ability to become dangerous without losing that playful energy. Taz Skylar already brings that combination to Sanji in One Piece, along with the physicality needed for Gambit’s staff combat and card-throwing action. He can play the confident flirt while still showing the loyalty and vulnerability underneath. The Cajun accent would be the real test, but if he can nail it, I genuinely think this could work. What do you think?

Jessica De Gouw as Mystique—the MCU X-Men casting I can’t unsee

Most Mystique fan casts focus on who would look convincing in blue makeup, but Raven needs much more than that. Jessica De Gouw showed as Huntress in Arrow that she can play someone dangerous, wounded, and morally unpredictable without losing the character’s humanity. Dracula also showed that she can bring the elegance, intelligence, and mystery Mystique should possess.
She fits the larger MCU X-Men story too: mature enough to share believable history and ideological tension with Xavier and Magneto, but still young enough to remain in the role long-term. Most importantly, she could make Mystique’s possessive and complicated adoptive-mother relationship with Rogue feel emotionally real instead of treating Raven as only another shapeshifting villain.
She has the appearance, intensity, and range. I’m surprised this casting isn’t discussed more.
