As elephants travel across the Sahara, the shadow of a Thesogigas shelters them, if only for a few brief moments. They might be threatened by the Thunderbirds, if the cryptid birds weren’t already satisfied with the meal the towering behemoth provides in the form of parasites and jettisoned flesh.
Did some scaling using the various artworks and lore statements for Zacama from Magic: The Gathering (or Ghidorahsaurus as I sometimes joke), my favorite Magic card, and added her* to my size charts. Found that a nice estimate for her* size is roughly 125 meters tall at the hips. Seems pretty fair for the largest and most powerful of Ixalan’s Elder Dinosaurs, who killed a compleated Etali. Her* gargantuan visage makes the two Ghidorahs I’ve drawn pale in comparison.
This piece, minus Godzilla which had already been drawn, was a bit different from my usual. I tried recreating a view I saw where I’m currently living while I was driving down the road.
