Another wonderful "Connect" show this morning with Jacob Soboroff!
Topics included: interview with Abdul Al-Sayed talking about health care for all Americans, mortgage-free homes for families of the 9-11 fallen heroes, and the value of dissent on this, America's 250th Anniversary.
Jacob had many other great points to make, including the finding that if 3.5% of the populace continues to protest government overreach in a non-violent fashion those movements end up winning. He also noted that "collective stubborness" is an important and powerful way to bring about desirable change.
Antonia has been on fire today! Terrific with great topics. Energetic, knowledgeable, easy-going, etc. Breaking News is a great part of MSNOW.
reddit.comAlicia Menendez had a superb discussion about Birthright Citizenship! Her guests were informed, energetic, and very convincing! Great show.
reddit.comI really enjoy the many great posts on this site! Very informative and supportive of the Dems! I applaud MSNOW for making these posts so accessible.
reddit.comAny idea of how much I may benefit from treatment for NPH treatment in the next few months?
About 4 months ago I was starting on an assortment for NPH and felt and performed marvelously better but my neurologist suddenly kicked me off the program with no explanation at all.
I’m 77m with history of Alzheimer’s but a neurologist suspected NPH.
But I am still hopeful about the possible outcome of the treatment.
I’d appreciate any thoughts about this and am willing to answer any questions you may have.
Thanks for reading my post on this matter!
Mika is having such a hissy fit about words spoken by some young democrats. How about trump threatening the whole country of Iran, suggesting the shooting of Hillary and the imprisonment of Democratic Senators who are telling the truth about not following illegal orders.
reddit.comWhat do people particularly dislike about trump and and his enablers? I think trump is particularly odious and awful and is the worst leader and the most dangerous we have ever had. What are your thoughts about this?
reddit.comWhat do people particularly dislike about trump and Collins? I think trump is particularly odious and awful, but Collins has huge negative characteristics too. What are your thoughts on these topics?
reddit.comWonderful interview Jacob Soboroff had with Socialist Colorado candidate Melat Kiros in the Tuesday election! She certainly seems knowledgeable and concerned about people
Melat Kiros she moved to the US while a baby. Very well educated and very pleasant to Jacob.
This coming election will probably be a test of whether Democratic Socialism wIll widely appeal to voters. I remember that when Bernie ran in 2016, people generally loved his individual programs. Republicans have vilified the term Socialist to stop voters from supporting such candidates without examining specifics.
"The Weekend: Primetime" show with Ayman Mohyledin, Antonia Hilton, Catherine Rampell, and Elise Jorden today is great! A great focus on important topics! Very well done.
reddit.comTalarico's views are very much aligned with Graham Platner! I wish them both the very best in the coming election!
youtube.comI found the following on the internet -- of the Popularity of Mamdani's views and how they may generalize to Maine voters:
The Mamdani messages that generalize to national elections.
“The Democratic Party must change.”
This message already appears in national‑level contexts — Mamdani delivered it at a rally with Bernie Sanders aimed at Washington leadership. It is explicitly framed as a national critique.
“The party of the past will not be what leads us into the future.”
This generational‑change message is widely applicable in national races, especially where voters want ideological renewal.
“We need a Democratic Party with backbone.”
A national‑scale message about courage, conviction, and policy clarity — used at a rally with thousands and aimed at Washington Democrats.
“Better Democrats who put working people back at the heart of politics.”
This message generalizes easily because “working people” is a universal national constituency. It was used while endorsing congressional candidates.
“A tougher stance toward the Israeli government.”
This message already operates at the national level — the reporting frames it as a shift in the Democratic Party’s national foreign‑policy debate.
“A Democratic Party with character.”
Another values‑based message that scales well nationally, used in the context of congressional primaries with national implications.
“This is the beginning of a political movement.”
EL PAÍS explicitly describes Mamdani as a national political movement, not just a local figure. Movement framing is inherently scalable.
“Abolish ICE.”
This is a national‑policy message already used by congressional candidates Mamdani backs. It is part of a broader national debate.
“Tax the rich.”
A national economic message used by Mamdani‑aligned congressional candidates; it generalizes across federal races.
“Politics is reactive — energy on the far right ignites energy on the far left.”
This message, quoted by analysts in Reuters coverage, frames national polarization as a driver of national movement politics. It generalizes directly to federal elections.
Jacob Soboroff's program today was again wonderful. Great and important topics! He is cheerful and focused as ever!
reddit.comI have two brief observations: Joe is still blaming "leftist" Democrats for problems to the USA and Swann's hands were way in the face of Maggie Hagerman -- If I were she, I would have slapped the hands away. He is often clueless and this is a clear case of that.
reddit.comWhat a great new video of Graham Platner on YouTube: “Platner unveils new anti-corruption plan.” Very, very impressive!
reddit.comMichael Steele is on fire tonight as host of the Jen Psaki show! He has real fire in his belly and great topics! Keep it up, Michael! You're doing great!
reddit.comI'm 77 years old with Alzheimer's and strong symptoms of NPH. I am waiting for NPH treatment, having been kicked out of the treatment program for me (without warning or explanation) two days after being treated via withdrawal of 20 ML of spin-cerebral fluid.
I was functioning so much better for three days before my treatment was stopped. I am pretty sure that this stoppage of my treatment without explanation should be considered as abandonment.
I have a question for those here with greatly declining physical abilities and an acceptance that death looms large for us.
Do you have an essay or motto that addresses your thoughts as the end grows years?
Frankly, I am a realist and won't waste my time wishing for things that cannot be. I think false hopes are very foolish and I want to be in my best mind until I am gone.
Does anyone have such a verse/essay/etc. that helps them adjust to the inevitable ending of their life? Thanks so much for considering this question.
