I am working on a 480EX for a customer. I typically do gas mowers but took on this mower as a challenge. It had been sitting in his garage for a year with no use. The batteries were shot and measured well below 48v after being charged over night. The customer provided new batteries and now the pack measures at 50v at the connector. The trouble I’m having is the mower only recognizes 34.4 on the read out near the key. From what I can see all the wiring is intact and all the connectors are fully seated. Could this be an issue with the motor controller? Is this where the voltage sensor is?

The trouble I’m having is the mower only recognizes 34.4 coming from the pack. From what I can see all the wiring is intact and all the connectors are fully seated. Could this be an issue with the motor controller? Is this where the voltage sensor is?

Is there any interest in these in the collector market? I may have the chance to pick up one complete with plow and snowblower. It’s in decent shape for its age, always kept inside. I’m not sure if it’s a hydro model yet.
