In the comics her powers evolved which cause her to finally learn to control it. Now on 97what if now due to the Heart of Eternal Darkness which Gambit stole from a Candra and place on Rogue. What if this causes Rogue’s powers to evolve and causes her to finally learn control.
Here are three possibilities for the ending for episode 7 involving Apocalypse and Gambit in X-Men ’97
1: Remy was resurrected by Apocalypse. Apocalypse thought Gambit would become his Horseman and remain loyal to him, but instead, Death Gambit immediately turned against Apocalypse and literally k!lled him after right way due to future Apocalypse showing up.
2: Apocalypse actually took advantage of Gambit’s body. He didn’t make Gambit his Horseman; instead, he transferred his consciousness into Gambit’s body. This could mean Death Gambit has a mixture of both Gambit’s and Apocalypse’s consciousness.
3: No Horseman. No Gambit. Apocalypse simply switched bodies with Gambit. We know Apocalypse has changed bodies with powerful mutants before. Gambit may be back, but he’s no longer truly Gambit Apocalypse could now be living inside him to play out with X-Men, X-Force, X-corp etc etc.
So, what do you think happened?
We know War was killed in episode 2 and could be replaced, but what about Pestilence and Famine are they dead and have been replaced or are they still alive and still operating as Apocalypse Horsemen? We know Death slot was empty but is now filled by Gambit.
It was never brought up in the original series but Gambit had his powers nerfed by Sinister. Now I wonder when Apocalypse resurrects Gambit will his powers no longer be nerfed? I know he will be stronger but will he be even more power than ever with no limits?
He really dug up this man’s grave and stole his body. Do y’all think Gambit’s brother Bobby found out? Candra the External was shown in the past in episode 3 do y’all think she is apart of this as well maybe some foreshadowing for Gambit’s role in season 3?
