More bang for my Buck

I am a 26 year old single male willing to move after the academy, I have been doing some reasearch about the ports avialable. I'm currently living in San Diego and applied to San Ysidro border. What other ports around the south that will make my starting salary stretch more? Any advice ?

Can I do my CPL in multi and skip single engine?

I'm currently doing my IFR training and coming up on my checkride, I saw a video online basically saying that if I get my multi, and commercial multi I don't necessarily have to do CPL in a single engine because it carries over? Is there any truth to this ? Asking out of curiosity not because I want to do it.

Whirring noise

Is the whirring/ high pitch normal? I know the tractor sounds are fine, worrying about the high pitch. Never heard it before. It’s a 2022 gr86, with 30k miles, recently drove it 3k in 7 days, and changed oil before. I use suburu oem filet, and penzoil ultra platinum 5w-30, not 0w-20

Drove from San Diego to Wisconsin in a week and made stops in AZ,Cl for sight seeing. I drove it to 10k feet elevation and back down to normal (like 2k and below) within a day
