Applied for a bmet 2 position, they offered me 37$
Its for a position at Trimedx in Indiana, I have 4 years of experience, 15+ certifications. I said my range was 40-45$ and they came back with 37$. Is that a reasonable offer?

I made a post a few weeks back talking about how I've been in FSE for 3 1/2 years and I think the road work is really getting to me, I'm home most every night but the isolation that comes with this job has become a struggle.
I have an opportunity to work in-house at a hospital. My concern is that once I start working there I'm not going to enjoy it because I'm not used to that much interaction on a daily basis and also not used to staying in one building for 8 to 10 hours. What was the transition from FSE to in-house for you? Are you glad you made the switch and what was your reasoning why?
I've been working in the field for 5 years, 3 of which I've been working at a small business field service company. The pay is decent, management is amazing, the certifications have been great and having a company car has been a life saver. However, I feel like the solo work and long drives have been getting to me. I'm usually home everyday, some days im home by 1pm and others I'm home by 8pm.
This year my wife started a new job so she works 10-12 hour days and I feel like the combination of my job being completely solo and then coming home to an empty house for hours has been getting difficult and the fact that I haven't really been able to make many friends bc of my job and restrictions of driving the company vehicle for non work things, which is why I started looking in house at a hospital somewhere.
Randomly, an acquaintance from my old college reached out to tell me to apply for a position at the hospital they work at, he's the biomed lead. I went in for an interview and he explained how they're looking for people to get certified in almost every modality: x-ray, ultrasound, MRi, anesthesia, ventilators, literally the things I can't get certified in at the small business. He said the hours are flexible, just as long as I work 40 hours. I'm really considering this position but I would have to buy a car.
I really think this is the move for me, I know that even though I enjoy the low stress nature of my current job I'm ambitious and I feel like the opportunities are worth it. I think the reason I'm so hesitant is that the first job I had the company culture and management was absolutely horrible. What would you say? Have you gone field service to inhouse? What was your experience
I work in the medical field, for the past years I have worked for a company who has given me many opportunities for certifications/trainings and given me a wonderful work life balance. Every time I tell them a company wants me to work for them they try their best to match the other companies offer, and succeeded. However the non stop work on the road is really getting difficult, I don't have coworkers I don't have much social interaction throughout the day and it really is affecting me, my wife has pointed It out too.
Next month I'm going on a multi week vacation even though I'm out of PTO..... they allowed me to go with no stress or argument. Recently I was given the opportunity to work for a bigger company with great benefits, comparable work life balance shifts and opportunities for different certifications that I currently cannot obtain at a small business. I always knew that if I stayed with this company I would be limiting my potential and making the jump would be worth it at the expense of upsetting my current employer. I know that I have to do what I think is best for me and my family, I just feel like I owe them soooooooo much and I don't want to create any bad blood. Help

over the past two days I've tried to book a camper van through Cozy Campers and as soon as I click to pay the website says declined and that it's because I don't have "3D secure" on my card or because My bank is flagging it as a suspicious charge.
I contacted my credit card banks: chase Visa, Bank of America, American Express and MasterCard and notified them of my travel and they said there should be no issue, I have more than enough credit available on all of these cards so it's not declined due to a lack of funds. I'm still not able to book the camper van. I called cozy campers and they said that there shouldn't be an issue with Visa or MasterCard. Not sure what I should do. Has anybody had this issue or have any ideas on how to resolve it

We booked our flights and camper van a few weeks ago, we have our itinerary but I'm just curious on if anyone has tips or advice. In terms of things to see or bring.
I've been doing field service work for about 3 years now, I'm 31 and I feel like day today I just feel bored out of my mind. A lot of my friends have moved away and gotten busy with their lives so we don't talk too much throughout the day I only have my wife who I see each night but she works more hours than me and most days I'm home by 2:00 so I'm stuck in my apartment alone until she gets home between 6:00 and 7:00. Since I work out of my vehicle I don't have a personal one, so I cant go do things after work so I just feel really bored. We don't have any relationship issues and we tend to do a lot of things over the weekend but Monday through Friday I just feel like I'm bored. I am training for a marathon in November but I do my runs in the early morning and work out right when I get home and I still have hours left of free time. I've been trying to practice gratitude and be thankful for what I have but that just doesn't fix the day-to-day boredom.
I'm going to be 31 in November and I've been with my wife for 10 years, married for 3 years. Overall I just feel bored and anxious most days. My wife and I don't have any problems in our relationship however I feel like throughout the week I just feel like I have nothing to do. My job is great I get compensated well the work isn't too hard but I work on the road so I'm alone most days. Her job is mainly seasonal so through April - October she's very busy so we don't see each other much throughout the week aside from watching movies or playing video games together at night.
We've been trying to save money for a house for 3-4 years and it seems unattainable and we're waiting to have kids until we can get a house. I don't have a personal vehicle, only a work vehicle, so on the long days where she's working I'm just stuck in our tiny apartment. I am training for a marathon in November but I do my runs in the early morning and work out when I get home and I still have five or six hours of free time and I just feel like I don't know what to do with myself. The weekends I feel great because her and I always have plans but I also don't have any friends close by to hang out with throughout the week. I don't know I just feel like this is a boring time in life and I feel like I'm struggling to be grateful for what I have.
I'm 30 years old I work full time and so does my wife. Friday, Saturday and Sunday we always have a bunch of plans and I feel great with the way things are going. Then Monday through Friday I work my job 8am till between 2-5 and I come home and I just feel bored. I work field service so 95% of the time I'm working alone and I come home hours before my wife and I really don't know what to do, I don't have family or friends close by and driving to them is out of the question because I have a work vehicle only . For years after work it's been video games with my buddies online but now that were all kind of getting into our lives our schedules don't usually align so I'm just playing video games by myself most of the time. I'm training for a marathon in the fall so I do run in the mornings and work out when I get home from work but I'm still left with hours of freedom and nothing to really do. I'm really just trying to get some perspective.
I've been doing field service for about 3 years. It's been great so far, between the various certifications I've received, the different places I've been able to visit, reasonable hours, not having the need for a personal vehicle as well as great pay, I do really enjoy it. However, recently I feel a bit trapped when it comes to the level of independence this job truly requires, not much interaction with coworkers so I can't really build workplace friendships, that's the main downside of this job.
With my wife taking a new position at her job, she's off at work a lot more than she was with her previous position so most of my days I'm by myself from about 8am - 7:30pm.
The personal vehicle limits what I can do after work and I don't have friends or family within walking distance so I feel like I'm not getting much social interaction. My fear Is taking a new job at a hospital and remembering how much I dislike having a 9-5 everyday and dealing with basic repetitive equipment all day. Just looking for some input from people in a similar situation.
I've been running off and on since 2021. I've completed 4 half marathons and maybe 5 5K/10ks. Last year I signed up for a marathon and couldn't stick to my routine but this year I'm determined to see it through. The marathon is in November and I figure id start now to get myself in the routine. I have a pretty good idea of what I need to do for my training program since my brother and my cousin have completed a marathon and are giving me tips but I'm just curious to hear from your point of what are some good things to know when training. What's your diet/water intake, Weekly runs/workouts and vitamins.
My wife and I are planning on purchasing our first house this fall and I'm looking around for the best offers. What are the pros and cons between Advia, Lake Michigan Credit Union, University of Michigan Credit Union, Geniysis Credit Union.
