I've read module and now it's boring to play

My DM decided to run CoS to us, but I'm was so excited that I've read the full campaign book. Every stat block, every puzzle, every quest. We had session 1 and it's boring af. I know everything

How to tell my DM that he didn't stop me, so he is awful DM and should change campaign?

My character is to billiosexy, what should I do?

Basically what title says. I made a character for a sex fanfic romantic story and he is... Just too sexy and too rich and I can't write because every time I start to do it I can't stop ovulating (and I might be pregnant at this point). What should I do?

My bread is player - minmaxer

He don't have bame, but he has a backstory.

I was terrible drunk and bought a loaf of bread from the strange little man with a funny pointy hat. Later I was playing dnd with my friends and on a dare I was supposed to add bread as a player. But I was so fucking high that accidentally I agreed to that... And my fucking God this bread started to fly after I gave him character sheet. He made himself a very cool OP bladesinger and got into the campaign, learned all his abilities and feats and started to taking notes.

By common sense, this is nonsense , but he was so cool player that everyone agreed to let it slide.

Opinion?

I know this may sound dumb, but stay with me: How do you feel about the words required to play DnD?

I’m making a Pathfinder 3e and I’m used to words being a part of all tabletop games, as well as DnD.

Recently I’ve encountered a LOT of people who tell me that they prefer tabletop games without words, which frankly has been really surprising to me because I thought words was just part of the game.

Not to mention that it’s part of most board-type games in general, and anything involving storytelling, and obviously DnD. The idea of a non-digital game that requires words to me has always just been normal.

I’m not saying I love it, I’m just saying that I’m 100% fine with it. Doing a little words, maybe getting it wrong from time to time and laughing, or having to do the occasional complex plots, has never felt to me like it added friction to the game at all. It always just felt like what it takes to play the game.

There are of course games that require very complex stories almost every session, and those aren’t really for me, but I wasn’t talking about those games. I was talking about most games. World building and character development with sometimes plot twist. This always seemed totally manageable to me.

If you could play DnD with no words somehow, would you prefer it? I’m not sure that I would. I feel like a DnD game with no words would also be lacking in something that the words provides. Whether it’s chance, some sense of realism, the joy of just writing big and the low of writing low, whatever, I wouldn’t trade any of that just to not have to do any words.

I... won't try Pathfinder and will just make a ton of shitty homebrew for 5e

New game idea

We all tired of hearing "Pathfinder fixes that" "Pathfinder fixes thot" etc. etc.

And we also tired of hearing "D&D is dumb" "I want to change some things"

People don't want to go from D&D and Pathfinder is too different. So... Here is my idea

>!Just make Pathfinder 3e and D&D 6e same fucking game!<

Thoughts?

I not read/write. Can I circlejerk?

I don't like reading and I hate writing. Can I just throw poops on writers? Is there any requirements to make fun of worders?

Why does everyone have to play wizards as fireball?

Case in point, our party just encountered a group of goblins occupying a town, with a couple worgs as well. All the regular players are preparing their swords, meanwhile, the wizard is "I CAST FIREBALL" and just cast right into the middle of the group.

I largely blame McKellen's version of Gendalf, but it's so annoying that I almost want to refuse to play in a party with a wizard. First of all, 8 is just slightly below average in Strength, not weak as a toddler. Second, wizards (and even classic Gendalf) are strong, and stealthy. They carry heavy stuff with them, they know how to use their spells creatively. They're not just casting fireballs.

how can I make the number thingy easier?

I'm DMing my first ever game through Discord vc in about 2 weeks and I'm already stressing myself out researching stuff like, how to sum up two numbers on attack roll or how to compare two numbers (one rolled and one I decided)

How can I make this stuff easier to understand, so that when session 0 rolls around I'm not making a fool of myself by miscalculating damage or accidentally getting a player not killed because I thought they passed a saving throw

Also, should I try to learn how modifiers work or I can try to understand it in game?

LFG D&D 5e

Hi everyone! I'm looking for a group for my homebrew campaign

So

System: D&D 2014 (with a lot of homebrew/rework)

Party: 4-6 adventurers

Setting: You are adventurers in 1272 after the Last Crusade. The world is ultra realistic and deadly

Main rule: We're playing in realistic Medieval so no casters. No spells. No magic like abilities

Monk banned (we are in Europe, not in Asia). Ranger banned (idc that you can reflavour his spells as non magic tricks). Barbarian banned to. It's not realistic that rage gain you benefits.

Other classes (Rogue and Fighter) are allowed (except their magic-like subclasses)

Just DM me!

What should I know?

TL;DR D&D minmaxer trying to not be an ahole and understand new system

Hi chooms!

Let me give you some context

I've played D&D for about 5 years or smth like this and decided to get new expirience

So I decided to start with two not-D&D systems and one of them is CPR

So I read rules (at least most important ones) and tried to make few characters with Red Companion to understand some things better, but I think that I miss something

So here some questions I have on my mind, but the main goal - is try to understand what is the most important things that I may struggle with because of "D&D way of thinking"

Now my questions

 1. My minmaxed brains ( Just to be clear, and get less downvotes, I'm not doing it because want to be OP and I'm very good roleplayer and love creating characters, not a sheet with numbers to kill NPC, lol) has a little bit problem with CPR skill system. At first time I really wanted to just put all my combat abilities on +6, but then I thought "Damn, isn't this a wrong thing?". I played a little bit with it and found out that +6 in all my desired skills and +4-+5 on some other looks fine to me, but then I thought "Is this right way to go?"

To make question clear I will try to formulate it as "Is this normal to make character with +0 in most skills or is it better to spread points more equaly?"

 1. Some skills seems cool... And useless at the same time. Tactics, Lip Reading, Dance and some others. They sounds like a thing that I want, but then I think "In what world will I need my solo to make a Dance check and not just say that he is dancing?". So is it normal to not spending starter points on such skills and focus on more useful and clear ones?

 2. Is there something that I should know about cyberwear or it is pretty easy to understand?

 3. Drugs (in game) are cool? Debuffs seems pretty tough ngl

Well, I thinks it's pretty much all I can think of! Any advice will be apreciated!

p.s. sorry for my English, didn't put my IPs in it

I don't want to read PHB and my DM is mad at me

I'm pretty new to D&D and TTRPGs as whole, so my DM and experienced players played oneshot with me and we had a blast! I got basic rules (d20 test is pretty easy test ngl) and we decided to play a campaign and... My DM sent me a big ass book and said that I need to read it. To be clear - I HATE reading. Words killed my parents and I decided not to read ever again. So I said that I will see YouTube videos about character creation

I picked ranger and we started campaign. Man with a bow was a cool class to play but after one session DM asked me why I don't use my spells. And I was like "Damn, I have those? I'm not a wizard, how I supposed to know?"

So I found this Hunter's Mark and it was cool! Perfect for my man with a bow. But then I was told I can have more spells, so I picked a few, but then when I tried to use them I was told that "I'm out of spell slots". And I want to tell you guys that this seems like bullshit, like, how does this make sense? I can cast firebolt as much as I want and I can do the same with another shit? So DM tried to explain me about "cantrips" but I think he just made this up. C'mon, you tell me I can't use something and then when I ask why can I use similar stuff you tell me it's "different"? What now, you'll tell me later that I can attack twice? That's not how it works, manz you can'take your own rules. Anyway, he told me to watch video again, but tbh I now know that videos contain words too and my parents were killed by words so I decided not to watch

We had a break and now DM warn that we'll get 3 lvl soon and he asked me to read my subclasses. But you know me, right? I want to throw this shit into AI and it will do all the job, but when I said that - DM put a foot on me (which I love but still mean) and said that I MUST read video or watch a book

What should I do and how can I avoid this? I just want to play, man...

Why rangers > bard

TL;DR Bards are shit. Rangers are better. I'm right

So we all know that Rangers is "weak" in eyes of the community. But why? I think they are just stupid

We have 3 "experts" here: Rogue, Ranger and Bard

While Rogue is basically Edgy Ranger and we don't need to compare those, there is some things to talk about Ranger vs Bard

Let's go through core of the classes

1.Main thing.

- Bard is a charismatic party face who can be played only like horny af musician

- Ranger is the master of wild, the second person who knows everything about nature (first one is Mother Nature itself). He can be played many different ways as you wish

So there is 2 points for Ranger

1 because they are more interesting and can be played variously and another 1 because... C'mon, when Talking and Social Encounters was a thing in DnD? You can't persuade stump to give you some food. And survival is 100% the most popular rule in the game used by all tables

First round: 2 vs 0

 1. Ranger is Wis based half-caster and Bard is Cha based full caster

And there is another 2 points to ranger

1 - more caster you are - less cool you are. We all know that Fighters and Barbs (not Bards) are the best and Wizards are worst. So while Bard is shit - Ranger is half-shit

2 - you know who else is half-caster? Fucking Paladin, best class in D&D. And he is Cha based! You want to be Expert? Be ranger. Want to be Charismatic? Be paladin. Want to be both? Go play Pathfinder dumbass

So it's 4 vs 0

 1. Did you ever see someone like "Oooh, I want to build strong character so I will make Sorcerer X/Bard 3 character to be stronger!"? Doubt it. Did you ever see "I will make Whatever class you like X/Gloom Stalker 3"? It's the most Fucking popular dip

That 5 vs 0

I can continue but you get it, right? There is absolutely no arguments for Bards

#hateBard #loveRanger

Is MA better Brawling?

TL:DR Can I use Brawling and ignore MA?

Hey there! New to CPR here, so don't be too harsh on me

So, I'm making character who is meant to be a street brawler, and I'm not sure what to do tbh

Obviously I have two main options - Brawling and MA and there is a big problem - MA is stronger (because of ignoring half armor) and have maneuvers, but I don't like it for flavour and I really like Brawling's choke and throw

So I thought about just ignore MA and sticking with Brawling but... Not ignoring half armor seems like a big problem in a fight ngl

What can I do? I don't want to get both MA and Brawling (it's very expensive xdd) and I'm not ready to dig into MA Styles, my friends and I are all new to the system and don't have anything but corebook, and my head will blow up if I will think which MA is better and I won't be able to throw my enemies (which is what I want to do lol)

So basically - is it a big problem to use Brawling or it will be less effective, but still decent?

And a little bonus question - I'm thinking about getting Vampire Fangs (forgot actual name) but idk if it is good decision especially cause I will need to invest some points in MW and as I understood - buy biotoxin/poison time to time (and 4d6 HL for Fangs is crazy)

Any tips will be cool!

What do want in Gnome's Grimoire

I've made a 140 page + Gnome's Grimoire that's filled with level up methods, gnome slurs, gay spells, martial magic items and Mordenkainen's Lubrication.

What else does a Gnome's Grimoire need ? I'm about to go on Kickstarter and have a couple days to do some more editing.
