Plat-diamond

Hey everyone,
This season I decided to take Warzone ranked more seriously and really focus on the fundamentals. I knew the basics before, but actually applying them consistently in game is a completely different story.
From the very start, I was getting matched against IRI, Crim, and 250 players nonstop. It was brutal at first, I was getting absolutely destroyed for a while. But over time I started figuring out how to play against them. One weird thing I kept noticing is that some Plat players will just go AFK strategically or play super passive. I was convinced a bunch of them were smurfs just messing around, but who knows i’m appreciative regardless lol.
Anyway, after grinding mostly solo queue (way more than partying up), I finally hit Diamond. The randoms I got matched with who were Diamond and above were also life savers and its how i knew the difference between you certain golds and plats.
If any of you were in my lobbies, it was fun playing with y’all!
Anyone else have a similar experience grinding solo queue this season? What’s been your biggest takeaway or struggle trying to climb?
when reloaded drops ill grind a bit again if anyone wants to run some! for now ill be on apex doing the same✌️ twice.

I’ve been on PlayStation forever and used to customize my DS4 controllers a lot, but back then I didn’t care much about FPS. Now it’s different. Specs and low latency matter most. If you disagree, you’re probably a bot—get better lol.

While installing mouse click triggers and watching Daniel ZH, I learned about haptics and adaptive triggers. I fully disassembled the triggers, disconnected the motors, and removed them entirely. I kept only the two pieces needed to hold the trigger together. Rumble motors are easy too—just unplug them from the motherboard (cut the wires near the edge if needed).

I also removed the mic and speaker. If you’ve used the mic on these controllers, you know it’s terrible, and the speaker is garbage. The mute button still works for muting all audio though, which I was hyped about.

Some people say it’s dumb to remove these features, but if you’re a true FPS player, take them out. You don’t need them.

For even lower latency on PS5/PS5 Pro (tip from Daniel ZH): Turn haptic feedback on and set vibration to weak.

Yeah, I know it sounds crazy. But with no rumble motors or adaptive triggers, the circuit dead-ends instead of shorting. This still gives you the extra processing power per shot, lowering latency by about 5.6ms on COD and ~3ms on other games. It also saves battery since there’s nothing actually using the power.

This helps DualSense controllers more on Bluetooth (higher polling rate), while DualSense Edge is better wired. Keep that in mind.

Enjoy your lightweight and extremely responsive controller 🫡

Yes, weight matters and makes a huge difference in hand fatigue. If you think it doesn’t because you’re “strong,” you’re an idiot. Thanks for coming to my TED Talk.
