Buyer Remorse? More Like Failed Attempt to Shame a Seller

Came across this post where the buyer is attempting to shame a seller who accepted their offer about an hour after the offer was first sent. Comments are on the seller’s side…and people are being warned not to deal with the buyer. Avoid the buyer and not the seller. Why would you send an offer to a buyer, and then an hour later, once they accept the offer…think that suddenly attempting to cancel it would be ok/a reason to shame a seller publicly?

Google Assistant Privacy Litigation Settlement

This one is NEW and not to be confused with the other Google class action. Claims must be submitted by August 27, 2026. There are two different classes for this one as well-purchaser settlement class and privacy settlement class. You can be part of one, both, or neither. You must be prepared to provide proof of purchase and serial numbers.

Do check your spam/junk folders. I found the info for the Google assistant privacy litigation settlement that was in my spam folder and had been sent just a couple days ago. It has a unique pin and such associated with it you need to file a claim, so definitely be sure to check.

Part of the notice: Judge Beth Labson Freeman, of the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, is in charge of this case and will decide whether to approve the Settlement. This lawsuit is known as In re Google Assistant Privacy Litigation, No. 4:19-cv-04286. The people who sued are called the “Plaintiffs.” Google is the “Defendant.”

If you have questions, you can visit the website www.GoogleAssistantPrivacyLitigation.com, call toll-free 1-877-411-4704, or write to the Claims Administrator at the address below for more information.

One of a few articles mentioning it:

***Post edited to add more information so people know that this is legitimate and different from the other Google class action settlement.

How to Get Reviews from Buyers

I haven’t sold a lot on Depop, but curious how people get reviews without directly asking buyers to give them. Other sites I sell on, you essentially have to give a review, feedback, etc upon delivery so I’m not used to navigating a platform that doesn’t require one. I’m also a bit nervous to leave one as a seller (for the buyer) in the event they see it and then decide to find an issue with an item I sold them and write it in a review if it’s not 5 stars. Any advice welcome. Thank you!
