I'm looking to buy my first Porsche, initially leaning towards a 987 base due to reliability concerns but I've always loved the 996 and this one popped up for sale not too far from me, also having rear seats would be a bonus (for short trips/dog).

It would be my only car, but I live in London and rely on public transport for work. It would mainly be used for weekends, long road trips and the odd trip to the shops during the week.

Any thoughts or red flags? On the surface it appears to have been looked after and that the owner is an enthusiast.

I got a set of whiteline anti roll/sway bars with adjustable drop links to install on my NC and I don't have any mx5 specialists near me, but I have a local garage 10 mins away that does not specialize in performance or japanese cars but seem to do good work. Anything from oil changes to suspension and exhaust, etc.

I've had them fit a backbox and do an alignment on my NC in the past.

Would you trust them to install ARBs on your car? From what I've seen online there doesn't seem to be much to it that would require specialist mx5 knowledge, but maybe I'm wrong.

I don't have the tools or the space to do it myself so that's not an option.
