Possibly crackpot theory on the scene with stew and offworld magic in RoW
I recently reread that wonderful scene with Kaladin and Hoid in the vision and noticed something very weird to me.
Hoid puts up a bubble the second Kal is close enough, a bubble I always assumed was from allomantic Bendalloy (the power Wayne used to make time bubbles).
However, Kaladin's pov describes the wind outside as still blowing. Now, it's totally possible he's just not noticing that the wind has greatly slowed down.
But I have a much cooler explanation: The bubble isn't a bendalloy bubble. But actually a bubble made by burning Trellium that was alloyed with Bendalloy.
We know Trellium spikes hide the spiked person from the eyes of Harmony and presumably all shards except Autonomy. This WOB confirms that it was the metal of Paalm's spike, rather than how the powers were stolen, that allowed the kandra to hide from Harmony.
Which makes me think that Trellium is all about hiding from other Shards who might impede your "Autonomy". So I bet burning Trellium-Bendalloy creates a bubble that hides those within from the eyes of shards. Now, RoW does take place before Mistborn era 2, but if anyone could get Trellium before then, it would be the ancient worldhopper who tries very hard to hide from Shards.
This would leave one small mystery: Does this mean Hoid and Kal were still visible to Autonomy? Well it wouldn't matter, because Shards are limited by how many things their humanoid mind can focus on at a time. So why would Autonomy be searching the Spiritual Realm at that particular moment? And would she even be able to spot the two inside the vision Odium created? Based on my vague memory of WaT, I doubt it.
