Upgraded Hot End and Now Filament Is Twisting Inside Head
SOLVED!
Users u/Wivi2013 and u/maybeiamspicy were able to help me solve the problem. The answer is that I did not install the PTFE tube when I changed the hot end assembly. Thank you guys!

Original Post:
Hello r/Ender3V3SE ! I am having a bit of a weird issue that I haven't seen before on this model - neither online nor in person, and was curious if anyone has had a similar problem and knows how to fix it. Essentially, after a few problems with my original hot end and a replacement stock hot end, I upgraded to the (wait for it) Upgraded Creality Ender 3 V3 SE hot end. After this, everything seemed to be smooth sailing and my issue appeared to be resolved, however, after a few minutes of printing perfectly, extrusion stops and when I open up the head, I find the filament twisted like this inside.
The Issue:
Filament is twisting between the extruder and the hot end.
A Little More Background:
Recently, after a month of having absolutely zero issues at all with my printer (everything 100% stock), I started having issues with under-extrusion and nozzle clogging. I am not one to over-tinker, so once I tried basic troubleshooting (unclogging nozzle, changing nozzle, changing settings, etc), I just replaced the hot end with another one from Creality. The new hot end never worked and wasn't able to extrude anything regardless of temperature (at this point, I have not messed with any of the other settings in my slicer, since I have printed hundreds of objects with no issues).
A little frustrated at this point, I decided to just go for the upgrade instead of messing around with what appeared to be a defective part. After installation, I started a test print, everything looked 100% good when it suddenly just stopped printing after about a quarter inch (height). I figured this might be an issue with my filament and switched the ABS to PETG, slightly changed settings and had the same result. On both, the filament eventually twisted up between the extruder and hot end assembly. I have run into almost every issue you can imagine and am generally pretty handy, but I have no idea why this is happening here.
My idea for What to Do Next:
I have already purchased a replacement extruder, assuming that the issue might be coming from there? However, if anyone has any ideas or has seen this before, I would be very happy to hear it.
Settings:
Filament: I tried a generic PETG and a generic ABS with the same results
Nozzle Temperature: 245 (first layer); 235 for others
Printing Speed: All Settings Under 15mm/s (yes, I print very slow)
Slicer: Creality Print
Specs:
New Hot End: Ender 3 V3 SE Official Hot End Upgrade
*Everything else is stock
If more details are needed for slicer settings to diagnose this, I would be more than happy to provide them, however, as I mentioned above, I had my slicer fine-tuned and printed hundreds of things before this issue - which is why I am inclined to believe that it is a hardware problem and not necessarily software. But I'm open to anything at this point!
