Which Smart ring should I get?

Hey everyone! I’m looking to buy my first smart ring and need some community perspective. I want something elegant in a gold finish that is not bulky

My main tracking priorities are:

  • Detailed sleep tracking
  • Heart rate monitoring
  • Menstrual cycle/period forecasting and tracking.
  • Illness detection (catching skin temperature spikes before symptoms hit).
  • Basic daily movement (steps/calories).

I've been researching the main players but every single one seems to have a catch:

  1. RingConn Gen 2 (Royal Gold): On paper, this seems like the best "bang for your buck." It's incredibly thin (2mm) and has no subscription fees. But since I don't know a ton about the brand, I want to know if people actually like it long-term. I read some people complain about the battery.
  2. Oura Ring: I know it's highly accurate, but paying a huge upfront hardware cost plus a permanent monthly subscription just to look at my own heart rate or cycle data feels totally dystopian to me. Is it really worth the lifetime paywall over the competition?
  3. Ultrahuman (AIR or Pro): I was initially looking closely at Ultrahuman, but a mix of bad user reviews and massive shipping backlog/delays for their new Pro model completely discouraged me. Are the bad reviews exaggerated, or am I right to leave them out of the running?

If you own any of these in gold, how has the finish held up against scratches? Does it feel chunky on your finger? Which one actually gives you the most value for your money?

Thanks in advance for helping me figure this out!

TL;DR: First-time buyer looking for a slim, gold smart ring to track sleep, periods, illness, and movement. RingConn Gen 2 seems like the best value, but I want to know if it's reliable. Oura's monthly fee feels dystopian, and Ultrahuman's bad reviews/shipping delays scared me off. Which one should I get?

Prozac working great for depression but anxiety/motivation still lingering, Wellbutrin vs Buspirone vs just upping the dose?

Been on Prozac for about 11 weeks, started at 20mg and upped to 40mg after the first few weeks because I was still feeling pretty unmotivated and depressed. The increase genuinely helped a lot with the depression side, I feel noticeably better and happier overall.

But I’m noticing two things that haven’t fully resolved:

\*\*1.\*\*	Motivation. I’ve been really checked out at work, low drive to start or care about things even though my mood is better.
\*\*2.\*\*	Anxious thoughts that are still hanging around, even though the initial physical anxiety when I first started Prozac went away after a week or two like everyone said it would.

I have my psychiatrist appointment coming up and I’m trying to go in informed. From what I understand, Wellbutrin is often added for the motivation piece since it works on dopamine/norepinephrine instead of serotonin, but some people say it can worsen anxiety. I’ve also heard buspirone mentioned as an anxiety add-on that doesn’t touch the SSRI. And then there’s just the option of going up to 60mg Prozac (max is 80).

I really don’t want to switch off Prozac entirely, it’s working for the depression and I don’t want to gamble that away.

Has anyone been in a similar spot, mood improved but motivation and/or anxiety still lagging? What ended up working for you, and did anything make the anxiety worse than expected? Trying to get a sense of real experiences before my appointment.

**TLDR:** 11 weeks on Prozac (20mg → 40mg), depression much better but still dealing with low motivation/checked out at work and lingering anxious thoughts. Don’t want to switch off Prozac. Trying to figure out if it’s Wellbutrin, Buspirone, upping the dose, or something else before my psych appointment.

Prozac was giving me energy for 6 weeks, then suddenly started making me tired. Anyone else?

I’ve been on Prozac for about a month and a half. First 6 weeks, no fatigue at all, actually felt more energized. Then out of nowhere it flipped and now it’s making me tired.

I recently switched my dose timing to nighttime, so I’m trying to figure out if that’s the cause or if this is just something that happens with fluoxetine even without a change. Tonight I took my dose and started feeling tired pretty quickly after, so at this point I’m fairly convinced it’s the Prozac itself and not a coincidence.

Curious if anyone else had a stretch of feeling totally fine and then suddenly started feeling wiped out, and if so, did it go away or stick around?

Increased from 20mg to 40mg after 7 weeks, anyone else go through this?

I’ve been on Prozac for about 7 weeks, started at 20mg. For the first several weeks it was genuinely good, I felt like myself, had energy, was social. About a week ago that started slipping: more tired, sleeping a lot, losing motivation to go out with friends even though I’m usually a social person, more anxious, and having trouble falling asleep.

Met with my doctor and we decided to increase to 40mg. I just took my first dose today.

I loved how Prozac worked for me at 20mg starting out, so I want to stick with it if I can. But I’ve been reading through this sub and seeing a lot of people describe a rough couple weeks after increasing dose, jitteriness, worse anxiety, feeling off before it levels out, and now I’m nervous.

Has anyone else had a similar pattern (good start, symptoms creeping back, then a dose increase)? What was the adjustment period like for you going from 20 to 40? Trying to get a realistic sense of what to expect over the next couple weeks.

First dose and I feel great!

I took my first dose today after I recently made the switch from Cymbalta. I only took one dose of the Cymbalta because the side effects were way too strong and it made me feel like crap so now I’m taking Prozac and feeling pretty good and no symptoms. It makes me feel really hopeful about my future for the first time in a while. I was so depressed and so anxious. I was probably at the lowest point I’ve ever been in my entire life and that won’t be forever. I will get better and I know it’s still super early, but I’m just feeling really happy and really grateful.
