Blind senior

My sweet 12 year old standard girl is totally blind. She’s doing okay getting around in the common area of the house. She is not able to navigate to the bedrooms or other areas of the house. I want to change out the carpet in my living room. I’m concerned it will be hard for her. She loves lying in one spot by the couch. Do you think changing the carpet will be disorienting to her?

My daughter’s friend stole from us

Looking for at advice. I’m really sad and disappointed

We have some family friends with an 11 year old daughter. My 10 year old and their 11 year old have been friends for 3 years. My mom and the little girls mom are also friends. They have had many play dates, volunteer together and do camps together.

The little girl came with us on a 3 day weekend trip. It was me my mom, my dad, my daughter and her friend. On last day of trip my mom noticed her some of her makeup and perfume were missing. My daughter’s favorite crystal rock that she found on the trip was also missing. My daughter was upset and crying. Her friend comforted her and offered to help her look for it. My mom suspected that the little girl stole it so she looked in her suitcase and found all the missing items. My mom confronted the little girl with the items. She was visibly upset and said “I’m sorry I shouldn’t have stolen”. After we got home I called the little girls mom and told her what happened. She was apologetic, thankful we let her know and glad that we confronted the little girl.

I’m having a hard time getting over the fact that she comforted my daughter and helped her look for it after she stole it. That’s just beyond impulsively stealing something and seems so deceitful. My daughter is upset that her friend did that and says she needs a break from her. I’m not sure where the friendship will go from here. Is this just a normal kid behavior? Should I discourage the friendship or try to help them work through it?

Oddly my blood pressure is lower on a stimulant

I’ve been tracking my BP regularly and when I start a new med I track it multiple times a day. On strattera it crept up a bit but not concerningly so a range of 120/80-130/90. Now on adderall xr it has decreased to a range of 100/70- 110/75. My Psych NP made me suffer through 7 weeks of Strattera because it was supposed be better for BP. I had high BP when pregnant so she was worried about stimulants. I switched doctors and switched to adderall and my BP decreased. I was very pleasantly surprised.

Opening and closing random tabs

Anyone else just open and close random tabs and windows on computer/phone? I’ll just open or jump back and forth between tabs without any clear purpose. I get stuck doing that several times a day for varying amounts of time. I also have way too many tabs and windows open all the time. I have an irrational fear of closing tabs.

Adderall xr not lasting long enough

I’m on 20mg adderall xr and it works really well for 8 hours then I’m pushing myself through mud again. I need longer coverage for long work days and mom duties in evening. In this situation what would you ask your doctor for? Maybe adderall IR booster, try vyvance, higher dose of adderall xr?
