A quick look at the Taramps Pro 2.4D Dynamic Peak DSP.

It’s a 4-output processor with features like crossover adjustments, time alignment, routing, gain control, phase inversion, input and output clip indicators, audio generator, Anti-pop system, and Peak/RMS limiter functions.

For those who tune their own systems, what DSP feature do you usually care about the most: crossover control, time alignment, limiter setup, EQ, or input flexibility?

When the flag says Bass 15K, you already know the message is loud. 🏙️🔊

We saw the trend and had to make it Taramps style.

Part 2 of the F-250 build we checked out at Nandin Sound.

This time we’re taking a closer look at the setup and some of the details around the truck. Lots of amps, woofers, mids, tweeters, lighting, and custom work in this one.

For those into truck audio builds, what’s the first thing you usually look at in a setup like this?

Stopped by Nandin Sound to check out this F-250 build.

This is Part 1, just a quick first look at the truck. It has a lot going on: amps, subs, midranges, tweeters, lighting, and plenty of details we’ll get into more in Part 2.

For the car audio guys here, what would you want to see closer in the next video?

If you could change one thing about the car audio world, what would it be?

Car audio is an amazing community, but there are definitely things that can be confusing — especially for beginners.

Some common examples:

  • Misleading peak power numbers
  • Not understanding RMS power
  • Undersized wiring
  • Weak electrical systems
  • Bad grounds
  • Clipping from improper gain settings
  • Choosing equipment before planning the full build
  • Confusing advice online
  • Not enough beginner-friendly explanations
  • People chasing loudness without thinking about reliability

From your experience, what’s one thing you would change about the car audio world?

It could be about products, installs, education, online advice, pricing, competition, daily builds, or anything else you think would make the community better.

Any car audio experts in here? What’s your best tip for other builders?

Whether you’re an installer, SPL competitor, daily listener, DIY builder, or just someone who has learned things the hard way, car audio always comes with lessons.

A lot of beginners focus only on the amp and subs, but experienced builders know there’s a lot more involved:

  • Proper wiring
  • Clean grounds
  • Correct fuse sizing
  • Electrical upgrades
  • Enclosure design
  • Gain setting
  • Impedance matching
  • Voltage drop
  • Tuning for the goal of the build
  • Knowing when “more power” is not the only answer

So let’s make this useful for the community:

What’s one car audio tip you wish more people knew before starting a build?

It can be something simple, technical, beginner-friendly, or something you learned from experience.

Taramps Smart 8 Bass: 8000W RMS multi-impedance bass amp

Taramps Smart 8 Bass.

It’s a mono amplifier built for bass applications, delivering 8000W RMS with multi-impedance operation from 0.5 to 2 Ohms.

One of the main ideas behind this amp is flexibility for different subwoofer setups, while the Power Control System helps monitor operation for more safety and control in the low frequencies.

For bass-focused builds, this is one of those amps designed to give you more options when planning the system.

What impedance do you usually build around: 0.5, 1, or 2 Ohms?

If you’re into high-power bass amps, the Taramps Bass 15K is one of those pieces built for serious low-frequency performance.

It delivers 15,000 Watts RMS and was designed for systems that need strong bass output with control and consistency.

Who here would run a Bass 15K in their setup?
What subs would you pair with it?

Daily build or SPL build: What’s your goal?

Every car audio build has a different purpose.

Some people want a clean daily setup that sounds good, plays reliably, and works well for everyday driving. Others are chasing maximum output, demos, hair tricks, or SPL numbers.

Both approaches can be great, but the choices are usually different.

For a daily build, people may focus more on:

  • Clean sound
  • Reliability
  • Proper tuning
  • Balanced power
  • Strong but controlled bass
  • Keeping the vehicle practical

For an SPL or demo build, the focus may shift more toward:

  • Maximum output
  • Bigger electrical upgrades
  • Enclosure design
  • More cone area
  • Higher power
  • System efficiency and durability under heavy use

The best setup is not always the loudest one. It depends on what the owner wants from the system.

So we’re curious: when you build a system, are you more focused on daily listening, SPL, demos, sound quality, or a mix of everything?

What do you check before choosing a subwoofer for your build?

When choosing a subwoofer, a lot of people look at size and power first:10”, 12”, 15”, RMS rating, etc. But there are a few other things that can make a big difference in how the system actually performs.

Some important points to look at:

  • RMS power handling: Make sure the subwoofer can handle the amplifier’s real power, not just peak numbers.
  • Voice coil configuration: Single voice coil, dual voice coil, 2 ohm, 4 ohm. This affects the final impedance and what amplifier will work best.
  • Enclosure type: Sealed, ported, bandpass, wall build, trunk build. The box can completely change the sound and output.
  • Tuning frequency: A subwoofer in the wrong box or tuned incorrectly may not perform the way you expect.
  • Electrical system: More power means more demand on your battery, alternator, wiring, and grounds.
  • Goal of the build: Daily listening, SPL, demo build, sound quality, or a mix of everything.

A good subwoofer choice is not only about “how many watts.” It’s about matching the sub, amp, enclosure, and electrical system to the goal of the project.

What do you usually check first when choosing subs for a build?

TS 400X4 White with High-Level Input. Compact 4-channel amp for OEM or aftermarket setups.

We just finished a video on the TS 400X4 White with High-Level Input and wanted to share it here.

This amp delivers 400W RMS total, with 4 x 100W at 2 ohms or 2 x 200W bridged at 4 ohms, plus High-Level Input and RCA input for more installation flexibility.

It also has independent gain control and HPF / LPF / FULL crossover options, so it fits a lot of different compact builds.

For those of you who work with OEM integrations, do you usually prefer amps with High-Level Input, or do you still try to go RCA whenever possible?

Would be cool to hear how you’d use this one in a real setup.
