Resciesa or Seceda/Col Raiser?

Hello! We are visiting the region with no car. We’re planning to take the cable car from Ortisei to Seceda, then hike down to Col Raiser and return from there. But I’ve just seen videos of Resciesa and that looks gorgeous too. Should we consider that instead?

Or possibly we could do both? Just gets very expensive with the cable cars… what do you all think?

First drip cake

I had fun making an art-themed drip cake for my child’s birthday. A little heavy on the drips so they look more like paint spills, but I went with it 😄

The inside is the classic rainbow cake with 6 colored layers.

Edited to add/clarify: the topper paintbrushes/easel/palette are all purchased items (dollar store!) not edible elements I made.

Account Reactivated In Error

I have not used HelloFresh since 2017. I woke up to an email that my account had been reactivated and a box was on its way. This happened at 2:30am apparently, when I was very much asleep.

Not only that, but the order was placed for 6 meals for 6 people! The last order I placed (in 2017) was 3 meals for 2 people.

I double-checked my account and it’s still my delivery addeess, so it’s not like someone hacked and tried to buy a box on my dime.

The response from HelloFresh has basically been 🤷‍♀️ “it’s too late to cancel.” Ummmm ??? It’s $166 so this is not an insignificant amount.

I did call and speak to someone else who basically told me they couldn’t do anything on their end but if I dispute the charge with my CC company, they’ll have a record of the fact that I called.

What a bizarre situation. Has this happened to anyone else?

Gifts for ZNP fans?

I'd like to buy a gift for someone who's a big fan of Zion, but isn't necessarily into "stuff." Probably something smaller, no framed atwork or anything like that... is there anything meaningful that comes to mind? Anything that you especially treasure? Thanks!

GE Refrigerators- help me decide!

Hello! We’re leaning toward a GE for our next refrigerator. I’m stuck between 3 models. Price is close enough that it’s not a deciding factor. I’d just like to know about reliability and also usability for a family of 4 with hungry teens, LOL.

PGD29BYTFS
PGE29BYTFS
PAE28BYTFS

The first two are nearly the same, except one has the “door in door” feature.

Then the third one is the 4-door style with split freezer/fridge bottom options.

Do you have any of these models? What do you think? Do you find the door-in-door feature useful?

Or if you have the PAE28BYTFS, how do you like it? It intrigues me as it feels like we could keep the freezer a lot more organized, but it’s really different.

Thanks for any thoughts!

Weekend stay near Bethel Woods

Hello! We’re looking at attending a show at Bethel Woods and thought we’d make a weekend of it. Where would you recommend we look that would offer some hiking and nice places to eat, also accessible to the venue? We’d be looking for an Airbnb or cabin rental.

I’ve read some suggestions that say to stay west of Bethel Woods for a better traffic situation, but I’m not sure of any specifics.

Thanks in advance!

I am really excited to see this announcement today. I saw The Curious Case of Benjamin Button in London and it was phenomenal.

I wonder if any of the original cast is traveling with the show? That’s my only hesitation, because the cast was just perfect. Not sure if I want to see it with other people 🤔 Only because it’s such a treasured memory for me. But I am absolutely thrilled this show will live on!

Hello! Our family of 4 will be in Northern Italy in August, and have a few days in Verona before heading up to the Dolomites. My son (16) is interested in touring a Ferrari museum and doing the F1 simulator.

I’m wondering the best way to approach this. I know we could train to Bologna, then Modena, then shuttle/taxi. But that seems like a long day. Though we have not been to Bologna yet so could explore there a bit too.

Should we consider renting a car for just the day from Verona? If so, anything else we should add to the day?

Or, should we even consider keeping the car and dropping in the Dolomites? We are otherwise planning to train/bus to Castelrotto.

Thanks for any suggestions!
