Looking for a dedicated Study Buddy for AFCAT/CDS. (My last attempt!). I am a Recommended Candidate & will help with your SSB prep in return.

Hi everyone,

I’m currently gearing up for the upcoming AFCAT and CDS exams. These are my absolute last attempts, so I am going all-in and looking for a serious, disciplined study buddy to keep the momentum high and hold each other accountable.

The Deal:

  • What I need: Someone dedicated to clearing the written exams who wants to coordinate study sessions, share resources, and discuss mock tests.
  • What I offer: I am a recommended candidate. While we grind through the written syllabus together, I am more than happy to guide you through the SSB/AFSB process. I can help you refine your lecturettes, tackle GTO tasks, and give you solid insights into the psychological tests and personal interview.

23M with diffuse thinning & slight pre-existing gyno. Is this Pre-Finasteride blood test panel complete?

Hey everyone,

I’m a 23M dealing with diffuse thinning for the past 3 years. I previously took 0.5mg Finasteride from Sept 2025 to Dec 2025, then stopped. I'm planning to hop back on at 1mg, but before I fully commit, I want to get a comprehensive baseline blood test.

Crucial context: I am not sexually active, but I do have slight pre-existing gynecomastia. Because of the gyno, I want to make absolutely sure I am tracking my estrogen and prolactin correctly in case Fin aggravates it.

Here is what I currently have in my cart:

  • DHT (Dihydrotestosterone)
  • Free Testosterone
  • SHBG (Sex Hormone Binding Globulin)
  • Free Thyroid Profile
  • Estradiol / Estrogen (E2)
  • Ferritin
  • Liver Function Test (LFT)
  • LH (Luteinizing Hormone)
  • FSH (Follicle Stimulating Hormone)
  • Prolactin

Based on some research, I am also planning to add:

  • Total Testosterone (since I only had Free T)
  • Vitamin D & B12 (to rule out deficiencies causing diffuse thinning)
  • Complete Blood Count (CBC)

Are there any other markers I should add to this list, specifically to monitor the gyno risk or find the root cause of diffuse thinning? Thanks!

Took a 1mg Fin pill today but need baseline bloods. How long do I need to wait for my DHT/hormones to reset?

Hey guys, need some advice on timing my blood tests.

Context: 23M, diffuse thinning for 3 years. I took 0.5mg Finasteride from Sept to Dec 2025 and stopped. Today, I decided to restart and took a single 1mg pill.

The problem is, I also have a massive pre-finasteride blood test panel scheduled (DHT, Total/Free T, Estradiol, SHBG, etc.). I have slight pre-existing gyno, so getting a true, untainted natural baseline for my hormones (especially Estrogen and DHT) is extremely important to me before I commit to daily dosing.

I know that single 1mg pill I took today just crashed my serum DHT. I want to continue taking Finasteride, but I want my baseline bloods done in the proper environment first.

Since I only took one pill today after a 6-month break:

  1. How long do I absolutely need to wait without taking any more Finasteride for my 5-AR enzyme and DHT/Testosterone to completely return to my natural baseline?
  2. Is 14 days enough time to wait before drawing blood, or should I wait 3 weeks?

I plan to take my next Fin pill the second I walk out of the blood lab. Appreciate any insights!

Confusion regarding TGC forms: Raw marks percentage vs. Official CGPA percentage. Which one do I use?

Jai Hind everyone.

When I calculate my direct raw marks across all 8 semesters (adding up the exact marks scored and dividing by the total possible marks), my flat average comes out to 85.225%.

However, my official final college CGPA is 8.41. My university uses a standard CGPA x 10 conversion formula, which technically puts my final percentage at 84.1%.

. Has anyone else dealt with this specific credit-system discrepancy during their document check? What does the board actually expect to see on the forms?

Does this lead to being Document Out?
Any help or past experiences would be massively appreciated. Thanks!
