Tamiya Panel Liner help...

Hi everyone,

I just have a question about panel liner and what you use to remove it.

I clear coated this Tamiya glossy. I'm going to add the decals and then wanted to add panel liner. I've never used it before and wanted to ask...

Once you put the panel liner on how long do you wait until you remove the excess? and what tools (qtip, paper towel, etc) and solution (water/x20/soap etc) do you use to remove it?

Thanks...

Edit: thanks everyone. My local art store has the stuff you all mentioned so I'll be grabbing it tomorrow. I'll do the underside of the model first and see how it goes. Thanks for all the replies.

I'm not using any of the Type R (right hand drive dash, racing seats, steering wheel or rims). The kit also came with a left hand drive dash and "regular" seats, steering wheel and rims which was a nice surprise.

Trying to make it look somewhat like the old 98 Civic hatchback I used to own (darn I miss that car). Also my first time using flocking. Came out alright.

I enjoyed putting this one together. I liked that it included masking for those tiny windows.

I should have put the wings on before paint instead of after so I could have done more to minimize the gap. I could have had more patience and used some putty on the pilot side of where the cockpit glass meets the plane body.

Over all I'm happy just some mental notes for the next model. I may add a couple hellfires to the wing pylon if I can dig up some old ones from a previous model.

Cheers...

Hi everyone,

Just wondering if you get a kit that has pre coloured parts do you still prime and repaint them even if the colours will be the same? I was thinking about it because I enjoy the process. Just curious what others are doing in this scenario.
