Dude just left and is going to be coming back tomorrow. Looks like shit to me but I don’t know anything about masonry and repointing. Do the messy joints get cleaned up later? Is this just a result of the rough brick face?

There is a pic of where they ground out the old mortar. It’s like a 1/4” line that visible in the last pic. Some joints were ground out brick to brick. Others, just this 1/4” channel.

Cut my losses and find someone else, or does this seem normal?

I don’t know much, if anything. Russian currency 10 Rubles for the large one and 20 Rubles for the small. My Great Grandfather brought these to the New World. I have maybe 100 of each. The larger note, approx 4”x7”, is dated 1909. The small one is 2” x 2.25” and I believe is 1917. These two are in the worst shape. The others look very crisp and clean in the eyes of this total know-nothing.

There are several on the web with varying price points but little info. Curious if any of you know more.

I’ve been training CrossFit for a number of years and have always used the standard, all-purpose 28.5mm barbell. I finally got my hands on a traditional weightlifting bar and am wondering when I should really feel the whip. Right at contact? Right at triple extension? I’m not sure I’ve ever felt a true “whip“ sensation.
